Christmas Sneak Preview

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Nonnie and Pops took us to Ice at the Gaylord.  The decorations were amazing and we got some fun pics.

Planning the Route

Momo was the only one who would cooperate for a pic at this point.  The girls had popcorn that needed to be eaten.
After walking around the Gaylord, we plunged into the ice! Brrrr!

Abby really wanted to go down the ice slide so Pops stood in line with her.

 Whee!

While the Frosty themed ice sculptures were impressive, the snow hill was voted most fun on this excursion.  Pops got some great pics.  We did it over and over and over again!

We got a wheelchair for Momo and all got a kick out of her pushing the girls around at one point.

That weekend, we also decorated the girls' rooms.  They were dying to bust out the Christmas décor.  I didn't want to do every room, as we were hosting the Matkin Thanksgiving the weekend after Thanksgiving.  I had some fun new decorations for their tree that I bought the day after Christmas last year.  It took awhile for me to get it right.  Nonnie had to come help!

A Hunting We Will Go

One evening in November, Abby and Caroline decided to play "hunting" with Brent.  He got them some camo out of his closet and they bow hunted turkeys (hats Holly sent) and also took a shot at a pink zebra! It was pretty funny.  Their imaginations still surprise us on a regular basis.

November Snapshots

November was filled with activities at home and outings!  I volunteered at Abby's school one Friday and snapped this pic of her at lunch.  She was excited to do some shopping at the Spirit shop and buy this dragon glitter headband.
We planted our pansies at the beginning of the month.

One weekend, we all did some Christmas shopping at Cabella's.

The girls had fun packing and wearing their purple purses on the shopping trip.  They were quick to whip out their sunglasses.
Caroline waited with me at Abby's dance class one evening in her cape she colored.  The hour long wait was a lot more fun in a costume!
We often enjoy the public library on Saturday mornings.  Caroline was Rapunzel for this outing.
Caroline is our little mommy and tucks in her babies at night making sure to arrange them from biggest to smallest.
We wrapped up swim lessons in November and will resume them in February.  The last day, Abby got to dive off the diving block.
The girls had fun making cake pops with GiGi on Abby's birthday weekend.  She got this contraption as a gift from a friend.  It was an interesting cooking session.
Abby and Caroline also put on a puppet show for GiGi and PawPaw.
Chloe wasn't sure what to think about the puppets.

Momo arrived in November.  In this pic, the girls are showing her our ant farm.
Our neighbor passed down some fun winter hats.
One afternoon, I took the girls to downtown Grapevine to try on Christmas outfits.  We were trying to get some that had matching sets for their dolls.  We decided they looked too much like pajamas, but had lots of fun trying them out.  Caroline was hysterical as she struck different poses for me.

Afterward, they had fun posing in front of all the different decorations on Main Street.

They asked me to take a pic of them next to this statue.

They were very excited to check out this pioneer cabin and wagon they thought were similar to Laura's in Little House.

I snapped this pic of Caroline sharing her letter H show and tell at school.  She was thrilled Abby let her take her horse she got for her birthday.
Daddy and Caroline baked cookies in the Easy Bake Oven one afternoon.

Gobble Til You Wobble

This past week, Caroline had her school feast.  She was Princess Star.

Friday, Abby had a Gobble Til You Wobble program and I volunteered all morning in her class.  The Kindergarten classes rotated to every room and made a Thanksgiving craft.  It was a good morning, but Abby had a cold and wanted to go home right after singing, so she missed her feast.
