The Gaylord Texan

We took Abby and Caroline to the Gaylord Texan for the invitation pictures. I wanted a setting with lots of plants, etc . . The little birthday girl to be did not cooperate with her hat. We will have to try again another time. Here she is trying to climb the fence and saw Varsity's horns off. We had a great time walking around. She loved the miniature trains.

While these are funny, they are not quite what I was looking for to put on the invite.

Temper Tantrum!

Abby has learned how to throw an all out tantrum. She is going to have a safari party for her birthday and this was an attempt for me to get a picture in her safari halloween costume for her invitation. Yes, she goes all out. Kicking and screaming are a must to get her point across.

Playtime

Caroline likes Nonnie's new exersaucer.

We get big smiles when Abby moves the toys on it for her.

Abby's favorite thing to do is push her around it. Caroline is in for the ride of her life!
Abby has graduated to a motorcycle. She outgrew the little car. She has made progress with steering but has some work to do on the pedaling. This girl loves a new challenge!

Cutest Little Sailors

I couldn't resist taking some pics of my two little sailors last week at church. Abby was distracted and we couldn't get one of her looking at the camera. Bummer. We have gotten the church routine down with our newest addition to the family. Abby is doing great in the nursery. No more tears. Brent and I take turns in the cry room with Caroline so one of us gets to hear the sermon without baby noise every other week.

A Big Time!

Our first stop Labor Day weekend was Spring. Abby had all sorts of fun at GiGi and PawPaw's. She rode this frog at the park like a maniac. I had to drag her away. She drove PawPaw's boat (in the driveway).
We went to the mall to get pictures made of Caroline and Abby, but Abby would not have anything to do with it. We did get some great shots of Caroline. Abby did all of the following instead. We rode the carousel.
You can see from the grin on her face that it was a hit.
Abby also played in the indoor playground.

PawPaw makes sure his charge is ok inside the tree. Instead of crawling in the trees, she had him lift her in all of them. His arms got a workout.

We went to build a bear and GiGi got her a safari monkey to go with her Halloween costume. Here she is giving her monkey a bath.

She was a little afraid of the stuffing machine.
Cruising in the mall.
On the way to Spring we had a long stop at Dairy Queen. She loves her "creamy."

Beach Babies

Caroline had her first big car trip Labor Day weekend. First, we went to Spring and stayed with GiGi and PawPaw and then we went down to Bay City to see Momo. We managed to get in a morning at the beach. I think the sound of the waves put Caroline to sleep.Abby enjoys her drumstick. Fried chicken is one of her new favorites!
Abby wasn't crazy about the sand and camped out on top of this icechest while Pops made things for her in it. She didn't like it on her hands. This was funny to us since she loves her sandbox at home.
"Ah, this is the life!"
Checking on baby sister.

Still not in the sand.

Finally, she decides to give it a try.

Momo holds the Baby Lifegaurd.

A Big Week

We had a big week at the Anderson house! Abby had her first day of school today. She goes two days a week from 9 to 2 at our church. Here is a picture of her getting ready to leave this morning. We have quite a lot to take each day as she eats lunch and naps there. Of course, Elmo gets to tag along. Abby's teacher said she had a super first day. "I don't know if I can carry all of this myself."
Also, Caroline had some big accomplishments. She is enjoying her Bumbo seat and she laughed for the first time yesterday. I was doing a little puppet show for her and she just chuckled. It was too cute!

She looks so grown up in her Bumbo.

Abby has fun showing things to Caroline when she is sitting up. She is such a little teacher. In the picture below, she is showing Caroline her animal puzzles and telling her what sounds they make.
