Happy Birthday, Little Bubba!

Last Saturday night, we celebrated Little Bubba's birthday at a pizza place.  Nonnie and Pops had us over for cake and presents afterward.   Ryan said the girls could pick the flavor of cake.  Abby chose vanilla and Caroline chose chocolate.  So . . . Nonnie made a double decker cake with both flavors.  It was enormous!

We took this pic to send to Momo showing the toaster oven she gave him.

Fun with GiGi and PawPaw

Last weekend, we enjoyed a visit from GiGi and PawPaw.  When they arrived Thursday, the girls were ready to get down to business on this 200 piece Halloween puzzle.  They worked on it for about two hours!  Abby didn't stop until it was finished.  I think Caroline and GiGi took a tea party break.

Brent flew in from out of town that night and we ate dinner at Kincaid's.
The girls had fun ordering their shakes with PawPaw.  They decided to twirl while waiting on their dessert and danced all the way back to our table.

Friday, GiGi and PawPaw drove here, there and everywhere going to schools and activities while I subbed.  First they took Abby Sonic for lunch.
They picked up Caroline from school and took her for lunch at Wendy's and then on to soccer.  To end their busy day, they picked Abby up from school and took her to swim lessons.
We inherited a big princess tent from our neighbors Friday night as they were setting up for a garage sale.  Brent and Abby had fun reading her journal inside.
Saturday morning, GiGi and I took the girls to a pumpkin patch.  I had fun getting my annual fall pics.

They love these props with the head cut outs.
Buying Pumpkins
We also went to the James Avery Store for new charms.

GiGi added a butterfly to their bracelets.
The Aggies were not much fun to watch, so we made butter and monster slime instead.
Abby made butter at school during her farm unit and brought the recipe home.  She had been begging all week to make it.

The monster slime was a big success.  The recipe and ingredients were given to us as favors at the spooky birthday party the week before.

Farmer Abby

Last Tuesday, I was a chaperone on Abby's Kindergarten field trip to Green Meadows Farm.  We had a fun day together.  I had three girls in my group.  Abby has become good friends with these two girls and was excited they were together.

 Ready for Pig Races

Abby shocked me with how much she petted the animals.  This would not have happened a year ago.

 They loved the little piglets.
 Time for a Picnic
 The Emus were neat.

Abby also fed the animals and . . .
 . . . milked a cow.  Again, shocking!

I think they stopped at every wash basin on the property several times.

At the end of the trip, they each got to pick out a pumpkin.
