Meet the Teacher and First Day Pics-2018

I go a little crazy with the camera when school starts!  The following pics are from Meet the Teacher. Abby loves her teachers!  Mrs. Daniel is her homeroom teacher and also teaches math and science.

 Ms. Havener is her language arts and social studies teacher.

 Abby and Caroline were excited to see friends!

 Caroline looped up with her first grade teacher, Mrs. Ryon.  She was thrilled to have her again and stay with some of her closest friends.

 The district theme this year is Wizard of Oz.  The bulletin boards were fun to see.

 These girls are ready for another great year at CES!  I am enjoying being at home again and look forward to subbing.

Matagorda Vacay

 Nonnie and Pops got a condo for us at the Dunes the first weekend in August. We went down on Wednesday and had a nice 4 day mini vacation.

 The first day, Brent went fishing with his dad and we hit the pool and the beach.

 Little Bubba worked hard to build a sandcastle.

 A text popped up on my phone from Brent that they were going to pass by in the boat. We waved until they found us.

The fishermen had lots of luck!

 Thursday evening, the girls got a snow cone and we strolled around to the four or five shops in Matagorda for "sip and shop."  They serve cocktails in the stores once a month on a Thursday evening while you shop.

 The Purple Palm is my favorite store!  The owner is really nice.  Matagorda has come a long way.  They had no stores or places to eat not that long ago.

 Brent found a beach towel he loved!

 We were back on the beach the next morning!

 They perfected their sandcastle the second time around.

 We cooked out hamburgers by the pool when our extended family arrived.

After our cook out, we built our fire on the beach for s'mores.

 Abby was chilly and cuddled up with Momo.

 Games in the Condo- Nonnie plays Spinner with her friends once a month and taught Abby and Caroline how to play.  They enjoyed learning a new game.

 Pops let these girls drive around in the condo complex.

 Little Bubba and Samantha took the girls horseback riding on the beach!  This was a new adventure!

 Caroline rode Smokey and Abby rode Skipper.

 They rode for an hour and had a good time.

 We had fun at Poco Playa the last evening with all of the family.

We ate on the patio and enjoyed the live band!  Matagorda was a great get away to end the summer!
