Welcome Home!

We were more than ready to see Brent after his trip to Holland!
Brent's flight was delayed and it took a long time for him to get through customs and get his bag. The girls had plenty of time to switch places and pose for different pics.

Finally, he walked through those double doors!

Spring Break

Last week, we kicked off Spring Break with Mary's birthday celebration.  Big Bubba treated us to a delicious dinner at Cheesecake Factory.  The girls were tired from a big week at school, so we headed home before the cheesecake.  However, Mary gave her special dessert to the girls.  Abby was falling asleep on my lap, but Caroline ate every bite.

Saturday, we had a fun outing to the library and  . . .

. . . the girls had a sleepover with Nonnie and Pops.  They went to dinner, . . .
  . . . had a very elaborate treasure hunt, . . .
. . .and made a family of egg puppets.  Brent and I enjoyed dinner at our new Chuy's and saw American Sniper.
Monday, we had a successful trip to Grapevine Mills.  We were on the hunt for new shoes!  Abby and Caroline had a ball in the fire truck they always beg to rent.  I figured it was spring break and they can hardly fit their legs in it, so this was their last chance.
They had fun at the Disney Store trying on high heels and hugging Olaf.
Caroline struck a new pose on the way to every store.

We struck gold at Rack Room shoes with two new pairs for spring.
Abby surprised us with a pose!
Tuesday, Nonnie, the girls and I were off to Bay City.  The girls went right for the cupcakes!

They found this old mask from Momo's Red Hatter days.
We enjoyed lunch at our new hang out by the beach.

We braved the chilly weather and played at the playground by the beach and  . . .

 . . .collected some shells.

We didn't last long!  I think the girls had the most fun eating a snack in the trunk while we watched the waves.

Momo read lots of stories and we enjoyed our time there as always.  It had been since last August that we visited: way too long!

Friday, we were back in Southlake for the opening of Cinderella. Woohoo!
It was so good!  Nonnie, Abby and I shed a few tears.
Caroline was super excited to see her good friend there.

Friday night the girls picked Brent to read bedtime stories.  It was his last night home before a seven day trip to Holland for work.

Caroline is always looking at us through her binoculars and saying she loves us with her heart when we tuck her in at night.
Saturday, we had lunch at CafĂ© Express before taking Brent to the airport.
Sunday, we stayed busy with church and lunch with Nonnie and Pops.  We had big excitement, as they found a squirrel in their trap in the attic.  Abby and Caroline were excited to ride to the park in Little Bubba's truck and release it.

Our last afternoon of the break was spent picking out and planting flowers. Looking forward to a fun spring and Brent's return at the end of the week!
