Happy Birthday, Nonnie and Rodeo 2015

Yesterday, we celebrated Nonnie's birthday with a brunch and our annual trip to the Fort Worth Rodeo.

The donut cake was fun and yummy!

The girls were proud of the bookmarks they made.
We skipped the Stock Show and headed straight for the rodeo this year.

Abby and Caroline enjoyed the show and the snacks.

Abby was very interested in the details of the different events and liked watching the time on the big screen.
Caroline was very serious.  She didn't take her eyes off the arena and kept her hat on the entire time.

The wagon races were their favorite event again this year.
The wind was not our friend as we tried to get a family pic.

We ended the day with a nice dinner at Cattleman's.  This day has become a tradition we look forward to every year.

Beauty and the Beast

Nonnie took us to Beauty and the Beast this past Sunday.  Abby and Caroline had not been to Bass Hall and they were very excited to get dressed up in last year's Valentine dresses for the occasion.
I can't go out on this balcony without remembering one of my first dates with Brent.  He took me to see The Nutcracker and we stood in this very spot during intermission.  He knew how to sweep me off my feet and still does!

January Snaphots

We have started off 2015 with lots of fun!  Caroline had Emilie over to play the day Abby returned to school.  They baked Valentine cakes in the Easy Bake Oven and had a tea party.

Caroline has a thing for mannequins and talks to them every time we are in a store.  I just had to snap a pic of her hugging this one as we left Old Navy one day.  Abby wanted to pose too.
The girls have graduated from Pigtails and Crew Cuts to the salon where I get my hair cut.  They were super excited for their first big girl wash and cut.
Caroline was very serious.

Heather is really sweet and made it special for them.

She spent an hour and fifteen minutes on their hair and gave them a great cut while still keeping those golden locks long.
The girls had movie time and spa pedicures while we socialized at a Cowboy playoff  watching party Nonnie and Pops hosted.
January meant new family games!  Our new favorite is Headbanz.
I was the recycle volunteer again last week.  Caroline got to go and this Green Team was full of giggles!  Abby was thrilled her friend GiGi was picked to help.
That same day, Caroline had PJ Day at school.  She talked all week about Ms. Brenda's leopard slippers.
This past weekend, Brent went hunting and we had fun in Frisco.  We went to our favorite mall and saw Paddington.

The movie got an A++ from all of us!  We also saw Beauty and the Beast at Bass Hall.  Stay tuned for those pics!
