May Snapshots

Caroline had a field trip to the Ft. Worth zoo in May.  It was on Brent's birthday, so he took the day off from work and chaperoned.  They had a great time!

Miss Moore's family hosted a brunch to celebrate graduating from graduate school.  Caroline was excited to dress up for a "fancy breakfast" with her teacher.
Cheers to Miss Moore!
First Dip in Our Pool
The girls have had our neighbor over a few times to swim.
We also kicked off our swim team season the last week in May.

Field Day, Hawaiian Style

Sack Races

Caroline was the girl who earned the most money for Jump Rope for Heart in Kindergarten. Her reward was a shot at dunking our PE teacher in a dunk booth.
Brent and GiGi came to Field Day.  Abby politely requested they hang back so we don't have as many pics of her.  She is definitely growing up!  I think our days of following her around on days like these are over.

Dance Recital

Abby was a scientist in this jazz dance.  She was not crazy about this costume, but enjoyed the dance on recital day.

Abby's End of Year Award Ceremony and Author's Celebration

Momo was in town.  Abby read her writing collection to her.

Caroline's theater class performed a scene from the Wizard of Oz to wrap up the season.  She was an Emerald City guard.

We went to Bay City Memorial Day weekend.

The girls were very successful flying their kites.

We stopped in Spring on the way home and played with our cousins.

We also went for a swim.
We rolled through Dallas around dinner time and made a spur of the moment stop at Hard Rock Cafe.

We had a cookout with Nonnie and Pops on Monday and got ready for our last week of school.
Kindergarten Graduation- I cried like a baby!  The girls had a fantastic school year at Carroll.  I could not have wished for a smoother transition with me going back to work.  We felt so welcomed and loved.  It was definitely the right move

Abby partnered up with a friend for her Market Day project at school.  They planned and made little pillows to sell at a class market the last week of school.  They had several work days at our house and had lots of fun with the project.  The pillows sold like hotcakes.
The last day of school we had a school wide assembly and then watched the fourth grade take on some of the faculty in a kickball game.  It was a fun last day, but we were more than ready to start our summer!
One May afternoon, Mrs. Arquit took the girls for a spin in her convertible.  We have one cool piano teacher!
