Independence Day 2018

We kicked off our July 4th celebrations with dinner and fireworks in Southlake on July 3rd!
Watching Little Bubba's Drone

We were on the road early the next day!  We were excited for our annual trip to the DeLeon's in Seabrook.

 Ready for Fireworks

You can't beat being on the water and watching the sun set.

We saw so many shows off in the distance while we waited for the one in Kemah.

Stevan knows just where to anchor and we had the perfect view.  It was one of the best firework shows I've ever seen and Abby and Caroline loved watching from the boat.

We enjoyed another boat ride and day by the pool.

We spent a night in Spring on the way back to Southlake and had fun with cousins.  It was a fun week!

June Snapshots

As usual, June was packed with activities and events!  We took the girls to eat at one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas for our anniversary.

We had dessert at The Melrose, where we had our wedding reception 14 years ago.  We love to revisit this hotel when we are nearby.  We have such great memories of our wedding.

Abby and Caroline thought it was neat to see the ballroom.  I had fun showing them where the cake and dance floor were.

We couldn't leave before walking across the street for pics at the church.  It was a special evening showing the girls these special places!

VBS was a camping theme this year!  The girls enjoyed being with friends and I volunteered in Missions.

Abby started volleyball this summer.  She had a practice and a Saturday game every week in June and July.  She really enjoyed the game and wants to play again in the fall.

Father's Day Fun- After church, we had barbecue at The Feedstore, followed by banana splits, gifts and swimming at our house with Nonnie, Pops and Little Bubba.

The girls couldn't wait for haircuts.

They had fun participating in the Southlake Public Library summer program.  They saw friends one day and completed a spy mission.

They were so good to read and work on math while the other one had swim practice every day.  They were in different age brackets this year so we spent two hours a day at swim team.
They enjoyed Caroline's Kid Club birthday treat at Barnes and Noble one day and always love doing B&N summer program to earn a free book.
I had to stop on the way to the car and tell them to quit looking at their books and pay attention to where they were walking.
Filled reading logs equal prizes at the library!

Emerald Belle Camp is always a favorite in June!

Swim Meets

Abby enjoyed seeing friends at a birthday party on Saturday.  June was a whirlwind!
