Fourth of July

We all enjoyed every minute of our annual trip to the deLeon's in Seabrook!

The girls wasted no time getting the fun started.

Malissa and Paige got everyone matching PJs.
The buddies went fishing one morning.

Time for a water gun fight.

 Annual Oldest to Youngest Pic

Brent took the girls on a short kayak ride.

The kids busted out perler beads and games during some down time out of the sun.

We enjoyed an evening boat ride.

We headed back to Southlake the morning of the 4th and enjoyed some fireworks that evening.  The fourth of July is always such a memorable, fun time.

Happy Birthday, Carter!

Earlier in July, we helped Cousin Carter celebrate his 4th birthday superhero style!

They thought it was hard work freeing superheroes who had been zapped and frozen.

Carter got a Slip and Slide for his birthday.

 Making a Wish

Caroline and Carter really got into the theme. Carter would collapse on command when Caroline used her powers on him.

It was a fun day celebrating and playing with cousins in Spring!

Summer Snapshots

I blinked and half of summer was over!  The girls had a blast at VBS! The theme this year was Deep Sea Discovery.

I worked in snacks this year and got to see Abby and Caroline each day as their group rotated through the fellowship hall.
They liked the hot dog cut like an octopus.

Nonnie and I hosted a Sip and See for a family friend and the girls were great help getting our house ready.  They had fun singing "It's a Hard Knock Life" as they swept the porch.
Aunt Paula sent Caroline paper dolls for her birthday.  We had fun with them one day while Abby was having her piano lesson.

 Flag Day

Our neighborhood had a Flag Day parade and pool party, complete with the ice cream truck.

Our neighbors have a bicycle built for two.

We loved seeing Dory with our church.

We also couldn't wait more than a day to see The Secret Life of  Pets when it came out.

The girls had fun at Emerald Belle drill team camp again this year.

Nonnie came to watch the show off dances on the last day.

Abby and Caroline enjoy the drum program at the library every summer.

GiGi and PawPaw came to visit and took the girls for lunch, roller skating and Rita's one day while I did some shopping at Teacher's Tools.  I am going back to work this fall!  We are all excited!  I will be teaching first grade at my old school, Carroll Elementary, in my old room.  The girls will go there with me.

PawPaw took some video of the girls skating.

Abby and Caroline were very proud of this monster tent/camper they built.  The Care Bear and unicorn are the drivers.  They played for hours in it one Sunday afternoon.
This past Monday they had fun painting a squirrel and dog at Sunshine Glaze with one of our neighbors.  We are having a great summer! Stay tuned for more pics of our other trips.
