A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Our Christmas break got off to a rocky start.  Abby came down with the flu the first day we were out of school.  We missed the Matkin Christmas in East Texas, but she felt a lot better after three days of rest.  Thankfully, we were able to have our Christmas with Nonnie, Pops, Little Bubba and Momo on Christmas Eve morning.  It was a great relief the rest of us did not catch the flu!  The girls have a tradition of opening their gifts to each other first.
The girls were very excited about this fun stool Nonnie and Pops gave Little Bubba for his office.
Brent can't wait to decorate the tree in his study next year with antlers and all sorts of hunting decor.

Everyone got some memorabilia from our trip to Hawaii.
Chloe got some pajamas!

The girls were excited to get Clara for their nutcracker collection and Nanea, the Hawaiian American Girl.

They got busy setting up her Hawaiian market.

She did the hula to Mele Kalikimaka on the way home.

I enjoyed visiting with everyone and forgot to take pics!
We got up early to see what Santa brought.
We are thrilled to add Alexa to our family!  We have all enjoyed asking her questions and having her play music for us.
After seeing what Santa brought, we jumped in the car and headed to Spring.

We gave a night to Fossil Rim to everyone and Brent got Carter and Grayson some binoculars for the trip.

The girls loved their Kendra Scott necklaces.
 They like helping little Avery.
Hatchimals, LOL Surprises and Ken dolls were a hit.

Aunt Lin sent special boxes and necklaces she got at The Biltmore and nail polish and hair clips that change color.
The day after Christmas, we helped Grayson celebrate his third birthday.

We've spent the rest of the week at home.  The girls have had a great time playing with new toys.

Nonnie and Pops took them for dinner at Buca Di Beppo one evening while Brent and I went to see The Darkest Hour.
Another night, they took them to Mooyah and had them for a sleepover.  Brent and I did some shopping and had a nice dinner at Red Rock Canyon.
Abby had a puzzle going over there and Little Bubba assisted Caroline with her Lego BB8 Santa brought.  Both were very dedicated to their projects.

Everyone came to our house for the Aggie bowl game.  The girls sported their Aggie vests from Momo.  Aunt Mary and Nonnie helped me take down a lot of my Christmas.  Thanks, ladies!

We rang in 2018 last night at home with a pasta dinner, horns, poppers, 7-Up and champagne.  Cheers to the New Year!
