Keeping up with Caroline . . .

. . . is harder these days. She is crawling, pulling up, and has no fear. She does not sit in one place for more than a few seconds. She even lets go of things and tries standing on her own. I have a feeling she will be walking in no time.

All Aboard!

Nonnie and Pops gave us tickets to ride Thomas the Train for Valentine's Day. Abby was thrilled the big day finally arrived. The girls loved their first train ride.We had to stop and get a picture with Thomas. Smile everyone!Abby has loved trains and railroad tracks for awhile now. It all started when Nonnie got a little travel Thomas set. Boarding the Train
Abby got a Junior Engineer Certificate.
Chugging along.
The girls really liked holding onto these rails and looking out at the view.

They played some fun songs along the way.
Caroline joins in on the clapping.
"Peek-a-boo, Nonnie!"

Before we rode Thomas, Abby did stamps and played with toy trains.

These Boots Are Made For Walking

We spent the last weekend of our Spring Break trip at GiGi and PawPaw's and went to the Houston Rodeo. These little cowgirls had a big time!
Caroline is ready to rodeo! Nonnie and Pops went to western stores all over the metroplex to get these matching outfits in the right sizes. They were all decked out.We saw Aunt Haley at the food pavilion.
The girls were all smiles as we made our way to the entrance. It was a long walk.Abby wanted to walk so she had to wear her Elmo harness because it was so crowded.

It is getting harder and harder to get these girls to look at the camera at the same time.

Abby peeps over the fence to get a look at the sheep.

Caroline's eyes got very red and swollen after looking at the animals for about ten minutes. We rushed out of there and they got better after awhile. She is allergic to something. Maybe the cows???
So, while Caroline took a nap in the shade with GiGi and PawPaw, Brent and I took Abby to a Day on the Farm.It was a cute, educational walk through of a day on the farm. I was proud A&M sponsored it. Abby fed chickens in the hen house and collected an egg.
She gathered corn, planted a carrot seed, picked peaches on an orchard,
and watched Daddy milk a cow. She was too scared. After checking out the livestock show and displays, Gi Gi and PawPaw took the girls home and Brent and I met up with Ruth and Tommy to see the rodeo and Brad Paisley. It was a fun night! I was spoiled this month getting to see Ruth twice. Two weeks ago GiGi and PawPaw came to Trophy Club and babysat overnight. I took a roadtrip to have a girl's night in Austin. Thanks GiGi and PawPaw!

Who knew . . .

. . .the little town of Bay City would have such an excellent children's museum? We decided to check out the museum one day for an activity and it was awesome! The girls had so much fun. It was a little pioneer town for the kids to do role play.Abby ran around the grocery store picking out food. She really got into pretending in all the different places.

There was a toy store. We all came in and bought a toy from her.
She was a serious clerk. Caroline played doll with Momo while Abby ran around the town.

She got to ride a big rocking horse. Giddy-up!

Abby ran the post office and mailed a letter.

Pumping water was hard work!

This was the funniest part of our museum outing. There was a little opera house. Abby ran in, sat down and said "Where's Elmo?"
After I explained it was a stage for her to perform on, she got up and danced for us over and over again.
