Gobble Til You Wobble

This past week, Caroline had her school feast.  She was Princess Star.

Friday, Abby had a Gobble Til You Wobble program and I volunteered all morning in her class.  The Kindergarten classes rotated to every room and made a Thanksgiving craft.  It was a good morning, but Abby had a cold and wanted to go home right after singing, so she missed her feast.

More Birthday Celebrations

Nonnie cooked my birthday dinner a couple of weekends early, as the real date fell during such a busy time.  It was a relaxing night and fun to stretch out the celebrations.

The girls gave me the royal treatment and had me prop my feet up while I opened presents.

My real birthday was the day of Abby's party. After Sunshine Glaze, GiGi and PawPaw took us to Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
The waiters sang to Abby and me.

We had one more birthday event on Tuesday when Caroline and I took a cookie cake to Abby's school.  Abby was very excited to stand on the stool while Mr. Francis led the class in Happy Birthday, kid style.  That wrapped up the birthday parties for a month.  Next up is Pops!

Celebrating with Friends

The day after our family pizza party, Abby celebrated with her friends at Sunshine Glaze.  It was a butterfly party.  We arrived early and the girls had fun helping set the table and making Abby's birthday plate.
The birthday girl gets a plate with her handprint in the middle and the fingerprints of her friends around the edge.  She also picked out the colors her guests would use to paint their butterfly boxes.

I somehow missed getting a pic of Abby blowing out these candles, but we did get it on video.  Whew!
The girls painted butterfly boxes and  . . .

. . .played butterfly bingo.  Momo arrived in Southlake just in time for the party!

Abby opened her gifts at the end of the party.  She was so grown up making sure to open the card first or find the tag and then finding each friend to say thank you.  I think she had a good time with her friends and I really enjoyed having the party at a place.  It was the most relaxing party I've ever thrown.

Pizza Party

We started Abby's birthday celebrations with a pizza party for the family.  The girls really got into the pizza theme and decided to dress in pizza colors.  We had fun making decorations all week and they were very excited while waiting for our guests to arrive.
These little human slices of pizza decided to compare muscles while waiting for the party to begin.

While waiting for the pizza to arrive, Abby opened some presents.

All of the gifts were a huge hit!  They were excited to get a new paint set and American girl writing set and journal.  Abby really enjoys writing these days.

Caroline had some presents also!
The American Girl dolls have a few new outfits and a winter coat.

We took a break for pizza and cake.  While eating, Caroline and Aunt Mary worked hard changing her doll into a new outfit.

Abby requested ice cream cake this year.

Caroline went shopping with Nonnie one day while I was subbing and picked out this ice cream pillow for Abby.  She was proud of her purchase and Abby loved it!
New Legos have been a fun new project and  . . . .
. . .  we finally own Sleeping Beauty!  It is one of our all time favorite movies!

The girls got purple dance outfits to match their dolls and Brent and I gave them doll beds.  I don't know who likes them more, the girls or me?

After presents, Abby and Caroline immediately changed and got busy on new projects.
Abby and Lin had fun playing with the Simon game.

Abby loves arts and crafts and worked hard on her new origami kit.
The next morning, she worked two solid hours on her Lego boat.  It was a special night celebrating our 6 year old!  I get choked up every time I put a cake in front of Abby and Caroline with another candle on it.  Another year has flown by and it was a great one!
