A Happy Valentine's Day

The Girls helped make and frost a heart cake for our indoor family Valentine picnic.  I don't know if more frosting ended up in their mouths or on the cake.

We had our spaghetti picnic the night before Valentine's Day because Daddy would be out of town for work on the actual day.
Caroline loves to eat with her utensils.
Abby has on another "comfy" outfit.  Zeta sisters, you know this drives me crazy to have her running around in mismatched clothes!  I know it is hard to believe, but I let it go and find great comic relief in her rush to put on these unique ensembles when we arrive home from outings.
After our picnic, the girls had a scavenger hunt.

Every day for about a week, the girls have had Valentine treats in red mailboxes.  Their final delivery was a little baby.
Caroline goes nuts over these babies every time we are in Target.  As you can see, she was beyond ecstatic to have her own.

Abby posed for me in her love bug headband she wore during her party at school.
Since Daddy was out of town on Valentine's Day Night, Nonnie, Pops and Little Bubba took us to eat at Rainforest Cafe.

The girls hold hands everywhere we go now.  They look so grown up to me when they do this.
We had never eaten here before and the girls were really into looking at the animals.

"Be Nice!"

We have this conversation about being nice a few times every day.  It began one day with Caroline telling Abby to "be nice" after she had taken something from her.  Now, she says it all the time.  Also, Caroline will never say the word yes.  She will only repond with "no" until you ask her if she means yes and then she will nod yes.

"Now Caroline, do this . . ."

Abby tells Caroline how to do everything these days.  Here she is giving Caroline an icecream making lesson.

Sisters at Play

The girls have really started pretending and playing together for longer amounts of time and it is nice!  In this picture, they had just returned to their "house" after going to the store.  Abby is explaining to Caroline that they are going to "mix together a casserole."

Notice Abby's outfit.  She now needs to put on her "comfortable clothes" when we are home.  Comfortable clothes are any two things that don't match and might be a little tight.  Some green must also be on one article of clothing.

One night the girls played in the tunnel for about an hour.  They pretended it was a house and Caroline worked so hard getting all of her "stuff" in it.
"Mommy, it is getting too crowded in here with all of Caroline's stuff."
Some video of these 2 sisters in action:

The Little Gym

Caroline started a class this month at The Little Gym.  Nonnie and Pops treated Abby to a Gymboree class when she was the same age and wanted Caroline to have the same experience.  I thought it would be fun to try this new place with our friend from church.  It has definitely been a great fit for our little gymnast!
Parachute Time:  I have been surprised at how Caroline listens and follows directions.  When the teacher starts to talk, she runs over and sits in my lap.

 Exploring the Gym

I have not been surprised at how Caroline will try everything.  She will hang on the bar, walk the balance beam and even lets Mr. Nick use her as an example.  She loves Mr. Nick!
We blinked and she was a big girl!

She does every skill with a big smile on her face.
Playing with the balls at the end of class is her favorite part.

Board Game Central

Last weekend the girls were stuck at home with nasty colds and Abby had strep.  Thankfully,  GiGi and PawPaw came to visit, so they had some new playmates.  Caroline is sneaking in this picture during a game of hide and seek.  She bends over, walks slow, and makes big eyes.
 The Hunted
Oops!  She bumped her head on the table.  Little Sister had to have a boo buddy too.  She is Abby's shadow.
 Showing PawPaw their boo buddies.
They put on a parade with the instruments.
Although Abby did not feel great, she was kept very happy playing every game we own.  This girl is a serious game player!

Caroline had some good story time.
The extra attention helped the girls stay happy while sick and I'm happy to report we are almost all well.

Sweet Singing

Caroline absolutely loves her dolls!  She almost always has one in her little hands.  She spends the day feeding, rocking and singing to her babies.  She also sings and rocks these baby pandas in Abby's cottage.  I tried to get some of it on video.  She can be quite a chatterbox.
