January Snapshots

We started off January with a visit from GiGi and PawPaw.  They surprised the girls and picked them up a little early from school one Friday.

It was a gorgeous day for the park and cold treats at Rita's.

The following week, Caroline tried out for the musical, Annie, at Lifesong, the place where we take dance.  She dressed up in the Austrian dress Momo and Popo brought me when I was little and sang "Do, Re, Mi" from the Sound of Music.  We were so proud of her! As you can see below, Abby was her biggest cheerleader.  She will be a servant and a New York citizen in the musical in March.

The next day, we were off to Bay City for a girls' weekend with Momo.  It was nice weather and the girls had fun in her driveway when we arrived.

We had a great time eating out Mexican food, seeing Paddington and bowling at the new cinema in Bay City.

We celebrated Nonnie's birthday one weekend in January with dinner and cake at our house.  The girls helped Pops pick out the yogurt cake at Menchie's.

The girls have loved raising money for Jump Rope for Heart again this year.
Last weekend, we enjoyed the Fort Worth Rodeo and dinner at Cattleman's.

Caroline loves the animals. This was her favorite rabbit.

She is watching chicks hatch in this pic.

While Caroline enjoyed the animals, Abby enjoyed shopping.
She even shopped for a truck!
