Happy Birthday, Pops!

We helped Pops celebrate his birthday a couple of weekends ago!

Parties and Plays

These girls have been to quite a few theatrical productions this season!  We had tickets to see Frosty in Fort Worth at Casa Manana the weekend the roads were icy.  We swapped the tickets for the following weekend and GiGi and PawPaw took the girls.

Our good friends had tickets also.

We went to two musicals with our friends, Dylan and Presley.  They were sweet to offer us some free tickets they got to Rudolph at the Majestic Theater in Dallas.  I was off my game that night and didn't get a pic at that show.  We also saw Cinderella's Christmas at a little playhouse last week.  Caroline was chosen to go out on stage and dance at the beginning.  She did not hesitate.
Abby and Caroline wanted a picture with this wicked stepsister.

School Parties
Nonnie and Momo came and switched back and forth between parties with me.
Making this snow globe was Abby's favorite part of her party.

I think Caroline's favorite part was eating this messy cookie.
Caroline's Class

We had a little choir program and party at church last week.  I am the teacher so I didn't get pictures of the party.  I was too busy!  However, I did get this picture of Caroline with her new friend Graydon.  His mom helps me teach every week.
Between all of our Chirstmas festivities, Abby attended two birthday parties last week.
One was a princess party at Barnes and Noble.
The other party was at a trampoline place.  Little Bubba was off work that day, so he met us and played with Caroline.

A Surprise Visit

Last week, the girls knew GiGi and PawPaw were going to come visit, but they didn't know when.  They were surprised to see them at school Thursday afternoon!  The house was being cleaned, so they took the girls for ice cream and shopping at Barnes and Noble, while I ran Chloe home.
Comet flew in to our local toy store that day.
We stopped by to check him out.

GiGi and PawPaw took the girls to Kincaid's for their favorite meal, while I went to a Christmas party that night.  Brent was goose hunting with customers.  We had kicked off our busy weekend!
Friday night, we saw Santa at the Town Square and went out to eat.  I was excited to get pictures with Santa in holiday outfits.
We snapped these shots by the village, but they wouldn't let us take our own pic with Santa.
Brent came home feeling under the weather, so PawPaw filled in as King Triton all weekend.

The girls enjoyed filling their piggy banks with all the change he brought them.  GiGi and PawPaw also took the girls to a Frosty musical Saturday night so I could go to another Christmas party.  Pics to come on that event soon!

Gifts Galore

Caroline and Abby love to give gifts!  They had so much fun passing out their presents to the staff and their friends at school.

They were a hoot delivering goodies to the neighbors in their jeep.  They loaded up their trunk and were off!
We are lucky to know seven of our immediate neighbors.  The girls planned who would carry what and who would ring the doorbell every time they pulled up to a house.

Iced In

A couple of weeks ago, we had a huge ice storm.  We literally didn't step foot out of the house for three days!  These pictures look pretty, but this was solid ice.  It was so slippery!!

My little elves stayed busy!  We had plenty of projects to complete.  We cooked a lot!

They helped make cappuccino and snack mix for the neighbors.

Caroline made her favorite gingerbread.
Our Baby Alive Dolls stayed nice and full.  I think the girls played with every toy they own.

A super hero came to lunch one day.  Abby and Caroline stayed in costumes or pajamas all day, every day.

Abby and Caroline drove to Disneyland in their car.  Abby turned this sit and spin toy into her huge steering wheel.  Lucky for us, these two have quite an imagination.  They provide hours upon hours of entertainment for themselves.
Daddy stayed busy!  He was invited to at least ten tea parties a day.
He also flew to Disneyland one day on Caroline's plane.  He was King Triton.
He built the girls their birdhouses we got last Christmas.  That's right, last Christmas!  I was so glad we hadn't had time to do this project.  The girls spent a total of two hours painting them.
They had to be just right!

The fourth day, Daddy ventured out to hang them on a tree. He was directed where to put them.

It turned out to be a fun, productive few days, but we were ready to get back to our routine the next week.
