Over the Hill!

Two weekends ago, we helped Brent celebrate his 40th birthday.  The girls were so excited to surprise him with decorations when he got home on his actual birthday.
It was a rainy evening, so we had an inside pizza picnic, complete with bundtlets.

We celebrated again that weekend with family.  Little Bubba and Brent set up the birdbath from Momo in our new flowerbed.

We enjoy having Brent's Aunt and Uncle and my Uncle Bubba's family nearby.
The girls wore their Strawberry Shortcake costumes for the occasion.

Lots of Little Hands to Help
GiGi brought Brent a special cake from Spring.

The girls gave Daddy two booster seats for his truck, or "shruck," as Caroline would say.

We also gave him a night at the safari camp in Fossil Rim.  We will go in November.
The girls had a lot of fun making up silly songs and motions with PawPaw that weekend.

Fort Worth Finale

Nonnie and I took Caroline to the Fort Worth Zoo during Abby's last class at Museum School.  She enjoyed calling the shots.  Abby does a lot of the decision making when they are together.

 She really did run everywhere.

I picked up Abby after her class and brought her back to the zoo.

We had a nice lunch by the crocodiles.
Abby touched a rat snake!  Caroline passed on that opportunity.

All Aboard!  We never miss a chance for a train ride.

 Planning the Route

Our trip to the zoo was a fun way to end our trips to Fort Worth.  I was also glad to go before things heat up around here.

Video of the Big Performances

Caroline's First Song- I've had trouble getting all the video clips to upload, but this will give you a taste of their performance.  Thank goodness we had the option to buy a professional video!

Abby's First Song- We didn't get on the front row, so it was harder to see her.

"The Little White Church on the Hill"

Abby and Caroline had their preschool program in the little white church two Sundays ago.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we all enjoyed the concert.
Abby and Presley sat in the front row and had fun cheering for their sisters.
Caroline's Performance
Caroline was excited to finally have her big chance on a stage.
She made sure to do the hand motions.
We had a short break between their class performances, so we headed to the pond for some family pics.

 Best Friends

Abby and Presley are way too mature to make silly faces.

They decided to lay down and take a rest in the sun.
