Cousin Time

The girls had fun with Carter last weekend while we were in Houston.
A penguin came home from the pool with us.

The gang hit the playground every morning.

The girls couldn't wait to give Carter the Donald and Mickey Safari Hat we brought him from Animal Kingdom.

They had fun opening Caroline's birthday present from Haley, Phil and Carter.  Aunt Haley got them each some jewelry for their American Girls and Caroline got the Doc MsStuffins Operation game.  I always loved the old Operation game as a kid, so I was excited she got it.  It has added a whole new element to playing doctor.
One night, we celebrated Aunt Haley's birthday.

The girls gave Carter all the Ken dolls, but he preferred Abby's stuffed cat.  I don't blame him.

Caroline was proud to read flip books to Carter.
Abby is always ready to play anything with Aunt Haley.  They had fun with the Frisbee this trip.
Abby, Caroline and Carter liked sitting on the landing of the stairs.

They sat there for about 20 minutes asking Carter to make all his animal sounds.
Before we left Sunday, PawPaw gave the kids singing lessons.

The Little Mermaid

Last Saturday, GiGi took us to see The Little Mermaid in Houston.  It was a fun day!
Aunt Haley came too!

We were at Tuts Theatre Under the Stars.  The girls liked the twinkling stars on the ceiling.

Abby and Caroline did not take their eyes off the stage and said their favorite parts were "Under the Sea" and Scuttle's tap dance.  Caroline also liked Ursula and told us on the way out, "she can't scare me!"

Diving In

Abby had her first swim meet this past Wednesday.  It was very exciting!
 National Anthem
She swam the 25 meter freestyle and the 25 meter backstroke.

Abby is the middle swimmer sitting down to the left of the coach in the green shirt.

In these pics, she is swimming in the third lane below the deck.  She was second to finish in her heat for the backstroke and placed 8 out of 6 heats.  She placed 13th in the freestyle.    We've missed many practices due to our trip, the weather and Vacation Bible School, so I was relieved after she swam and liked it so much.  After her first event, the first thing she said was, "When is my next race?"  She definitely enjoys competing.
Abby was very proud of her first ribbon.  When she returned to the stands with it, Caroline said, "Abby, you are a real swimmer now!"  Caroline was a real trooper during the meet.  She didn't complain once and we were there for three hours.  Four more meets to go!

Wedding Bells

Congratulations to my Cousin Kellie and her new husband, Daniel!  They tied the knot last weekend in East Texas.
The girls were extremely excited to attend their first wedding.
Cousin Leigh Ann got them out on the dance floor.

Abby and Caroline always have fun with their second cousins.

My Cousins, Kara and Melanie
These pics are out of order.  These are a few shots we took at the ceremony.

Also, happy birthday to Grandmother!  She turned 91 last week!
