After getting some groceries and settling in at our condo, we headed to Magic Kingdom. We took the ferry over as it was late afternoon and not crowded.
We headed down Main Street for a pic in front of the castle and then started off with The Little Mermaid and Small World rides. It was a great first afternoon with little to no lines. The Magic had begun!
Little Mermaid
Small World
We were on Texas time, so we thought this would be our best night to try and keep the girls up for the Electric Parade and Firework show. We grabbed a spot early and took turns getting food. We had a picnic on our blanket while waiting for the parade to start.
We couldn't have had a better spot and the girls absolutely loved seeing all the characters. The lights were also amazing! It was definitely one of our favorite things on the trip. While waiting for the parade, Abby picked out an Anna and Elsa flip doll and Caroline picked out a baby Tinkerbell. They had money from PawPaw that was burning a hole in their pocket. Both girls loved having these new dolls to carry around every day.
Abby and Caroline never get tired of waving to Disney friends.
Cinderella with her Mice and Court
Each time a float passed, they couldn't wait to see who was coming next.
Snow White and Her Dwarfs
Right after the parade, we watched an absolutely amazing light show on Cinderella's castle. The girls loved seeing all the movie clips they projected onto it.
Then, finally, Tink flew right over us! Abby and Caroline had been waiting for this moment for months after one of their friends told them about it.
The night ended with fireworks. Disney really does make it magical.
