Happy Birthday, Nonnie!

We celebrated Nonnie's birthday early with dinner and cake at our house so Momo could join us before returning to Bay City.
The girls live for celebrations!  From shopping for gifts, wrapping presents and helping bake and cook, they enjoy every aspect of a party.
For Nonnie's actual birthday, Pops took us all to the Fort Worth Rodeo and out to eat at Cattlemen's Steak House.
Abby detests the smell of livestock, so she took a pink bandana to cover her nose.
Caroline, on the other hand, loves to get up close and personal with the animals.
We went to the livestock show in Houston when the girls were younger, but this was their first time to attend the actual rodeo.  It was a little longer than we anticipated, but they were great.  It really held their attention.
They ate and ate this popcorn.  Abby didn't want to share hers with anyone and made it to the bottom of her bucket.
Caroline's dolls enjoyed the performance.
This cowboy who did tricks with his lasso was one of their favorite parts.

Two other favorite events were Whiplash, the monkey who herds sheep while riding a dog, and the bull riding.

Happy New Year!

On New Year's Eve, we ate at Fuzzy's Taco and then watched a recording of the Sydney Celebration at 7pm so the girls could celebrate, but get to bed on time.
They didn't like the Sprite we offered them, but had lots of fun toasting. Cheers!
We also watched a recording of the ball dropping in New York several years ago.  Little Bubba found it on his computer and then hooked it up to the big TV.
It was a great, kid friendly way to ring in the New Year a few hours early.

White Christmas

We were so lucky to have a beautiful White Christmas!
Forget taking pics in the snow!  The kids did not like it hitting their faces, but they were excited to use the umbrellas Santa brought.

Abby ventured out with Brent at one point to play, but didn't last long.
Christmas Day, the Anderson side of our family came to our house for lunch and presents.
The girls got Baby Alive dolls.  They are masters at changing diapers now.
Both girls graduated a level in the Lego World.  They've enjoyed these sets with smaller pieces.  They also got some new Wii games, which I have hilarious video of and will try to post soon.

Guess who picked out this shirt for Daddy?  Abby did!  Although she has added purple to her favorite list of colors, green is still number one.
Who needs toys when a baby is around for entertainment?
All the kids had fun with Uncle Phil's game of shooting Carter up in the air.
Like Abby and Caroline, our dolls do not lack attention.
