Hawaii- Part 2- Maui

One word comes to mind when we describe our stay in Maui, relaxing!  This was the view from both of our condos.

The girls had a ball in the pools.

 They practiced their surfing skills.

The beach was beautiful, but did not have the exciting waves like Waikiki.  Caroline practiced her snorkeling there, but we stayed by the pool most of the time.
Momo hosted daily card games on their balcony every afternoon.

Nonnie and I took the girls shopping at an outdoor mall one morning and they had fun climbing this structure.
The guys played golf a couple of times at two different Kapalua courses.

Our biggest adventure was taking a private excursion with a guide to snorkel with sea turtles in Makena Bay.
We took an outrigger and needed some rowing lessons.

 A Starfish
It was the best time I've ever had snorkeling and I'm so glad the girls had such a neat first experience with it.
One evening, we went to the Old Lahaina Luau.

When we arrived, they had games and activities set up on the lawn.
I collect canes from places we visit and got one here with our name and the year carved on it.  The girls were excited to get little turtles.
Then, it was time to dance!

 Waiting for the Pig
We ate during the performance.  It was fantastic!

Our last night in Maui, we ate on the water at Cheese Burger in Paradise.

The next day, on the way to the airport, we stopped at the Maui aquarium as we had time to kill.

I don't think we've ever been so sad a trip is over. I actually shed tears driving away from the resort.  Hopefully, we'll be back some day!
