Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny came!  Caroline jumped right up and started hunting!

Abby needed a minute to get in gear.

They made sure to show us every time they found a sparkly egg.
Caroline ate her candy as she opened each egg.
We were off to church at 10!  We had to hustle!

The rest of the day was very relaxing.  Nonnie cooked Easter dinner and had some bug collecting kits for the girls.  They spent a long time out in the yard looking for critters.  It was a beautiful day and weekend!

Egg Hunt: Take Three

The day before Easter, one of Abby's classmates had an egg hunt.  The girls enjoyed food, friends and lots of entertainment.

A face painter was the highlight!
Abby's little friend held the mirror for her.

Preschool Party Animals

Abby and Caroline had Easter parties on Thursday.
I was relieved the tye-dye cupcakes we made were a hit!  I don't know that I will ever make cupcakes again that require six layers of different color mixes.

I was in charge of  the games for Caroline's party so Nonnie and Pops came up to be in Abby's class with her.  Every child has an adult at these events and Brent was out of town.  She was surprised to see Pops.  He had been on a trip and came straight from the airport.

The parachute games were definitely the highlight of Caroline's party.

Chapel Hill Finale

Sunday evening, our grand finale for the weekend was the spring preschool program.
The girls found their works of art in the Art Show.

 Caroline's Performance

 The gang was all there!

Bounce house slides and refreshments were set up to enjoy while we waited for our turns.
 Abby's Performance

I got some really cute videos of the girls singing, but have had great difficulty uploading them.  Maybe one day I will have time to figure it out!

We snapped some pics by the fountain on the way to the car.  Can't believe another school year is coming to an end.  I got choked up watching Abby sing.  Where did five years go?
