Easter

Easter was different, but we still had a weekend of celebrating.   Even though we would be attending online church Easter Sunday, the girls still wanted pics in their dresses.  I did too!  So, a few days before Easter, when the weather was gorgeous, we loaded up and took pics all over our church campus.  It was really fun to have the grounds to ourselves.  We might do it every year now!

 On Our Neighborhood Trails

 Easter Morning

After church, we zoomed and face timed with family.  Easter afternoon, Nonnie and Pops watched us play croquet from their porch. We will never forget Easter 2020.

Quarantine: Part I

Wow!  I can't believe it has been over five weeks since we ventured out into the world!  With the exception of grocery curb side pick ups, driving by to wave and visit with Nonnie, Pops and Momo from a distance and going on a million walks, we've been at home.  I must say, while this has been incredibly strange, we have had fantastic quality time together and have managed to have a lot of fun at 808 Huntington Court.
We started the quarantine celebrating St. Patrick's Day.  The girls did research on it and turned their findings into a talk show.  We sent the video to friends and family for entertainment.  They included some Irish dancing,  . . .

  . .  a weather report, . . .

. .  Irish jokes and Irish blessings.
We have played lots and lots of games and had manicures and pedicures on a regular basis.

Puzzle Time- We are on our 5th puzzle!

The girls have been little bakers supplying us with all sorts of weekly treats.

Dinner is always exciting!  What can we make?  Taco Tuesday is always a hit!

 We walk . .
. . and walk!  Nonnie and Pops sometimes follow 10 feet behind.
 Dying Easter Eggs

Our neighbor across the street has put on two driveway concerts.  We enjoy his country playlist from our yard.  He also plays some classics from The Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel etc . .
Nonnie and Pops watch from afar, in our driveway.
The girls arm wrestle and play games during the concert.  Fun times for all!

Arts and crafts projects are always in the works.  Caroline enjoyed this pastel set for several days and their latest creations were popsicle stick and duct tape structures.  It's amazing what we can create when given the time!
Building a Fairy Garden - Caroline got this gift ages ago and we hadn't had time to get it out.  I'm happy to report her seeds have sprouted.

We've heated the pool on warmer days which is a great activity!

Zoom meetings with classmates are a highlight.  Caroline has two a week and Abby has four.
Chloe came one day for show and tell.

The pic below is Abby watching her favorite lesson so far.  It was a lesson on the Bill of Rights all taught through Disney movie clips.
Abby and Caroline enjoy reading and doing their school work all around the house.

We've had time to wash our own car and plan to do the others when the weather gets warm again.

The girls have 8 zoom dance classes a week.  These have been great for connecting with the dance teams and keeps them moving.
The ballet teacher stepped it up this past week and asked that they be dressed in leotards and have buns.

We always make time for a sweet treat!
Our friend had a drive by birthday party one day.
Our online school has been very manageable and I'm now adding some enrichment.  I can't help myself!  This week Caroline made a secret juice using different units to equal a gallon.

She had fun following that up with her creation of a gallon girl.
Experiments are on the horizon! Our chemistry set we got for Christmas is coming in handy!

I had my own zoom happy hour the other night with my besties!  It was so great to see them!  We decided to make it a weekly meeting!

I hope my quarantine posts do not have too many parts, as I think everyone is ready for some normal.  However, we will definitely forge ahead making this the best time it can be.  This too shall pass, and my hope is that when it does, we remember some good times we had together.
