We drove in from Spring on July 6th and wasted no time getting busy with life! We actually unloaded our car, hopped back in it and headed over to Frisco to help Little Bubba move. On the way, we stopped at Brent's showroom. He wanted to show the girls the machines he sells.
The apartment is so cute and nice! Abby and Caroline had fun picking out, planting and taking this pot of flowers for a housewarming gift.
The girls tested out one of the pools and gave it a thumbs up!
The surrounding area is really fun with shops, restaurants and this pond, which the balcony overlooks.
We got Carter a Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Sheet and the girls helped him reach his goal!
We took him to Barnes and Noble one day to redeem it for his free book! He was very proud.
Can you spot three cousins?
Brent and I babysat one night while Phil and Haley were at a coach's dinner. We took them to Gateway and out for yogurt. They had a blast!
The next day, while Caroline was at theater camp and Aunt Haley had Avery home napping, Abby and I took the boys to our church playground. I gave them coins to make wishes in the fountain.
Carter thought long and hard about his wish.
While the VanCleaves were at our house, we had other events. I know you are not surprised! Never a dull moment. Abby decided to participate in the last swim meet even though Caroline could not as she was at camp.
My mom and I attended a women's brunch at church one day. I was pumped to hear my favorite author speak! A picture with her and having one of my books signed was one of the highlights of my summer! I love Melanie Shankle!
We had our end of season swim team party at an indoor water park.
We also squeezed in two volleyball games that week!
After the VanCleaves left, Caroline continued her theater camp every day and Abby had a week long volleyball camp in the mornings. In the afternoons, we did some serious back to school and early Christmas shopping. Abby loves Scobby Doo and was happy to snap a pic with this giant cut out in a store.
One weekend, we spent a day and a 1/2 at Aunt Haley's school helping her with bulletin boards and organizing. The girls worked hard and loved every minute of it.After all that work, it was time to relax in Hotel Transylvania 3.
Abby was proud of this DC puzzle she completed!
I hosted a happy hour for my teacher friends one afternoon.
The girls were so glad to see Samantha and Carter.
One evening, the girls had a slumber party with Nonnie and Pops while Brent and I attended Aggie Coach's Night at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. I never pass up a chance to pet Reveille!
July was super busy and ended with Caroline's Little Mermaid performances. Abby enjoyed picking out her flowers. Stay tuned for August pics!
