Shake, Shake, Shake, Senora!

The only pictures I could get of Abby in her Easter dress were candid shots while she played. Abby had fun with her maracas Nonnie and Pops had in her Easter bag.

She also had fun watering all the plants with her new watering can. Abby is a good helper. She takes her little jobs seriously.

The Little Easter Egg Hunter

We did not have high hopes for the Easter Egg Hunt in my parents' neighborhood this year. Brent and I did not think Abby would actually hunt the eggs or like the Easter Bunny and early in the week rain was in the forecast. It was also scheduled during her naptime so we did not think she would last five minutes at this big event.

Our Little Cupcake proved us wrong and it did not rain! She got the hang of hunting eggs and was a pro by the end. We never dreamed she would catch on so quickly or have so much fun.

Abby would get an egg and then look to see who had her bunny basket. Then, after depositing her egg, she would run off to find the next one.

At first, Abby waved to us and then she realized who was holding her. Yikes!

She did like checking out the Easter Bunny from a safe distance.

Of course we needed to enjoy the slide a few times. Whee!

Abby the Explorer!

Abby had lots to explore this weekend at GiGi and PawPaw's! She had fun riding her Dora the Explorer car. We spent most of Saturday playing outside. It was a nice, warm day. Abby heads to the flowerbeds in this pic to explore.

She found a bench to climb up and down on a thousand times.

We went to the neighborhood playground.

She also found a big rock in the flowerbed that became a favorite.

"What are those floating around in the air?"

"Bubbles!" Abby was chasing bubbles from the minute she was introduced to them and was even saying "bubble, bubble" to get us to blow more.

Abby is ready for summer!She has definitely been our sunshine during this long, cold winter!

A New Friend

Nonnie and Pops had a Spring Break cookout and Abby made a new friend. Kathy and Buddy brought their granddaughter. The girls got along great. Abby decided she would like to try the rocking horse out after she saw Sloane on it. Kids are so funny. They are not interested in something until they see another child playing with it.

What a Big Girl!

I have not had time to post on the blog because we have been so busy! One of the things I've been working on is Abby's big girl room. I'm thrilled to say she really likes playing in her new space."I think I'll spread out everything in my trunk on the curtains Mommy just ironed and then I'll walk all over them."

You would think Abby is playing on a slide or with a fun new toy when she gets on her big girl bed. She absolutely loves it!

We went over to Bubba and Mary's house for some cake to celebrate my Aunt Mary's birthday. Abby wasted no time in finding the stairs. Pops was worn out after many trips up and down.
