Splash Bash

This past Saturday, we celebrated Caroline's birthday.  Dora was ready to party with the Birthday Girl!

 We had a cookout and splash party in the backyard.

 She kept taking out the little head to lick the frosting.

Caroline and Abby had fun opening some new toys!  GiGi and PawPaw gave this cottage for the backyard and Nonnie and Pops gave her a Calico Critter Cottage like Abby's, so we will have plenty of new toys to entertain us this summer.

Caroline was excited to get a doll from Momo like Abby's and kept saying "this is my new Lucy."  She still loves to take care of her dolls and almost always sleeps with one and takes them with us on outings.

Abby gave Caroline this elephant game.  She is funny trying to catch the butterflies that shoot out the trunk.

Celebration Central

 It has been Celebration Central around here!  Weekend before last, we visited Grandmother and some of the Matkin side of our family in Lindale.  Grandmother's birthday is in June, so we celebrated it while we were there.

 It was also my Uncle Norman's actual birthday.

 Little Bubba entertained the girls with some blocks Norman got for them.

 While in East Texas, we stopped by Brent's Aunt Mari Beth and Uncle Jim's.  The girls had a good time playing with their i-pad and in the yard.

 Next, we headed to Cousin Tommy's to celebrate his high school graduation.

 We did not even attempt to take Abby and Caroline to the graduation.  They have way too much energy to sit through a ceremony.  But, we were there in spirit and had a great time hanging out with Tommy afterward.

 We will miss Tommy and Lynn's awesome backyard when they move to Austin.

We were only half way through the celebrations at this point!  It was Momo's birthday the day before, so we combined her party with the graduation cookout.

 Abby decided to test out the icing for us.  She gave it her stamp of approval.

After our trip to East Texas, we came home and had a big week getting ready for Caroline's second birthday party.  One of many chores Momo did was trim my fern on the front porch.

 The girls stuffed the Dora pinata.  Stay tuned for pics of the birthday bash.  I have so many, it needs its own post.

 The night before Caroline's birthday party, Jake graduated. 

 My Aunt and Uncle had a Low Country Boil before graduation.

 Brent and I enjoyed the dinner while GiGi and PawPaw kept the girls.

 Our final celebration was in Plano tonight.  Pops was officially announced the new Superintendent for Plano Schools.  Go Pops!

We all went to the School Board Meeting for the announcement.
