Ready for Takeoff!

Last Wednesday, we finally left for our long awaited trip to Disneyland!  I have a million pics, so it will take me several days and many posts to cover this vacation.
Checking In-We had a lot of luggage!

The girls really enjoyed having their own suitcases to pull through the airport.

Looking at Our Plane with Little Bubba

Abby and Caroline hadn't flown before and it couldn't have been a better flight.  They were excited and flew like well seasoned travelers.  Caroline still pretends to be Wendy from Peter Pan and wanted to sit between her best friend Peter (Daddy) and John (Little Bubba).
Abby sat by the window with Pops and me.  She kept the window shut most of the time and just lifted the shade for quick peeks out.
Wendy and her Pals
Minnie and Mickey were buckled up and ready for takeoff.

Pops had two pink ipads checked out from work.  The girls had so much fun with the princess movies and games.  We had a smooth start to a fun filled week!

Disneyland, Here We Come!

Abby really got into packing for our trip to Disneyland last week.  She was very helpful.

Caroline had fun playing sleepover with her stuffed friends in her bed while we packed.  That was helpful too!
We also had fun rolling all our coins before we went on the trip.  The girls saved for months and were thrilled to finally take their money to the bank.  They had quite a bit of spending money for souvenirs.

Birthday Girls

We celebrated my Aunt Mary's birthday Wednesday night with a family pizza dinner.

Then, last night Brent and I went to her big 50th surprise party.  GiGi and PawPaw came to babysit for us.  We had a fun time dancing with Bubba and Mary.

I've loved Two-Stepping with Brent since our first time on a dance floor.

I also got to celebrate Tollie's birthday with her last weekend! It was a fun dinner out with good friends. Happy birthday girls!

A Momo Fix

We always love a Momo fix.  She was in town for two weeks and stayed at our house several nights while Brent was on a trip for work.  She helped us bake our Easter cookies.

Momo was a really good sport sitting in between them for story and puzzle time every day.  She was a good referee too!

May I Have Some Tea, Please?

Both girls had so much fun at Anna's tea party last weekend.  Brent was in the Corps with her dad, Hal, and we always enjoy getting together.  They live in Mansfield, which is about 45 minutes from us, so we'll be sad to see them go in a few months.  They are moving to the Houston area.
Abby and Caroline love to get their nails painted.
We took our own princess costumes.  The girls just got them for our upcoming trip to Disneyland.

Each guest sat in the carriage with Anna while she opened their gift.

Spring Soccer

Abby's spring soccer season is off to a chilly start.  Her first game was two weeks ago.  Despite the cold weather, she got right out on the field.
GiGi and PawPaw were here to cheer and get video of this soccer player in action!
Caroline sat with Joel.  They are ready for their turn to play.  It won't be long!

Wendy likes to kick the ball with Peter.  Yes, we are still in Peter Pan mode around here.
We missed the game last week to go to a dress up tea party for a friend.  When I asked Abby if she wanted to miss her game for the birthday party there was no question which event we would be attending.  I think soccer will be short lived, but it has been a fantastic first experience playing on a team.
I got these few pics from the game yesterday.  Caroline's friend, Nola, will also play on her team next year.  Her dad is Abby's coach and will hopefully be Caroline's.
Abby got to kick the ball off the line yesterday.  GiGi and PawPaw were back in town for this game and we were lucky to have Aunt Lin and Uncle Gary there also!  We had quite a fan club!

Brown Bear's Adventures with Abby:Part 3

After this big weekend, the girls needed a nap. That means I have a little while to catch up on what's been going on in the Anderson house lately.  These are the rest of our pics with Brown Bear.
He went to the outlet mall and rode the carousel, saw the fish and crocodile at the Rainforest Cafe and made friends with Minnie and Mickey at the Disney Store.

Caroline took her Lamby along.  She can't wait to have Brown Bear next year!
He also went to Kroger and Costco with Nonnie and Pops.

Brown Bear had a busy Sunday.  He went to church and threw coins in the fountain before going to the play that afternoon.
Abby took Brown Bear to dance on Monday and showed him the studio before class.

Brown Bear slept right by Abby during his stay.  She made sure he had a comfy bed and was very sad to see him go Tuesday.  I, on the other hand, was a little bit happy to see him move on to his next host.  It was nice to get back to normal and have our journal project behind us!
