White's Chapel Christmas Festival

The girls look forward to our Christmas Festival at church every year.  Luckily, the weather held out and we got to have it before the big ice storm a couple of weeks ago.
Abby was a fan of the snow hill again.  Caroline was not.  She went down once and was ready to move on to the bounce houses.

Four Generations rode the train at one time that evening!

Tea Parties with Momo

Momo came home with Nonnie and Pops after Thanksgiving.  The girls enjoy having her around and they especially love to have tea parties and play Go Fish with her!

Deck the Halls

We worked hard to get all our decorations up before Thanksgiving because we thought we would be out of town.  Abby and Caroline are always eager to help!  Their tree is a favorite.  They move the ornaments daily and love to lay in bed and look at it for a little while each night before we say good night.
Caroline stepped back to admire each ornament she hung.
Abby sorted all of her ornaments before she got to work.

Let the Christmas Festivities Begin!

We've been in full blown Christmas mode since the night of our Matkin Thanksgiving!  The Southlake tree lighting was that night, but we didn't last long.  The girls couldn't wait to try out the snow hill this year. We dressed in our warmest clothes and loaded up for the square.  A cold front blew in the day before and it was freezing.  Abby and Caroline were not tall enough for the bigger snow hill created this year, so we loaded back up and headed to Bass Pro.  We had to do something festive after that let down.
Freezing at the Square- We were there for all of five minutes!
Bass Pro was not crowded and they were excited for their first visit with Santa this year.
I was disappointed they weren't dressed in Christmas outfits because we had on our warmest clothes thinking we were going to be outside that night.  We have managed to squeeze in another Santa pic in our Christmas outfits since then!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at home this year.  It was our first holiday ever to be without family, but Abby was sick.  We did get some much needed rest and had some quality family time, but it was a very different kind of holiday for us.   The weekend before Thanksgiving, we did celebrate with the Matkin side of our family.  Everyone came to our house and the kids had a great time with their second cousins.

Caroline and Camden were the last to finish eating.  They were deep into a serious conversation.

Pops made a scavenger hunt all over the house.
Mary Grace led them and read the clues.

In the treasure chest, I had supplies to decorate turkey cookies.

After that, they got down to business in the play room. Abby and Caroline strike a pose for almost every pic these days.

Gigantic Leaf Pile

Nonnie raked one day last month.  She left the leaves in a huge pile for the girls.  They had a blast!
