Frisco Fun

New Year's Day, Brent went hunting with PawPaw, so the girls and I headed to Little Bubba's for some fun in Frisco.  We hadn't seen his new office complex, so he gave us a grand tour.

 Spinning in His Chair

They left messages on his dry erase board and then he took them to a meeting room that had a dry erase wall.  They thought it was so neat to scribble all over the wall.
We really had fun exploring because the building was empty.  It was definitely a good plan to go on New Year's day.  They couldn't believe how many computers were in this meeting room.
I think they had the most fun in the cafĂ© where they played restaurant behind the counter . . .
. . . and tested out the machines.

Little Bubba let them pick out a snack, so they could use the self check machine.

The last stop on our tour was the workout room.  I told the girls not to go past the tile to keep them from climbing on anything dangerous.  I think if everyone had office space like Little Bubba's, they would have a good chance of liking their job as much as he likes his.  It is a very nice place to work!
When we got to his house, we helped take down Christmas decorations.  The girls pulled up the Santa lights in his yard.
That night we hit the bowling alley.
It was a little different this time because when we arrived it was disco bowling.  The girls were excited their tights glowed in the dark.

Happy New Year!

We rang in the new year at home with a cookout.  Little Bubba showed a New Year's Celebration that had already happened somewhere in the world so we could see fireworks and pretend it was midnight.
Caroline was mad at her horn in this pic.
Thankfully, we had more.  The girls were in bed by 8:00 and we ended 2013 with an Aggie victory.  It was fun to have our bowl game on New Year's Eve, but it was not fun knowing it would probably be Johnny's last time to play for the Aggies.

The Anderson Christmas

We spent Christmas Day with the Anderson side of our family.  Cousin Carter arrived before lunch and was very entertaining.  He has serious conversations with all of us and had a lot to say.

The girls were ready to show him what Santa brought.
They went in circles through the kitchen and living room about a hundred times pushing all this stuff.

Abby discovered Carter loves the dancing Frosty.

Ready to Chow Down

Passing Out Presents
The girls always manage to be in costumes or nightgowns by noon.

Abby was thrilled to get an I Spy sticker book.  She can sit and do the books for an hour.
Carter had a Jack in the Box lesson.
Abby and Caroline were excited about the princess Play Doh set Carter gave them.  I was too!  Play Doh is one of our favorite activities!
They thought Carter was hysterical standing on this box of blocks.
The elves were working hard helping others open their presents.

Our princesses ride in style now with these carriages from GiGi and PawPaw.
Three Little Chefs
We didn't waste time and broke in our Easy Bake oven the next day.

We had an expert in the house.  Lin had one as a girl and had the magic touch.
Gary timed everything for us.

Aunt Haley and Caroline whipped up a red velvet cake.

GiGi has taken our tea parties to a new level.  We had birthday parties for our Baby Alives to celebrate our first Easy Bake Oven treats.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus got a little carried away this year!  He must love giving princess gifts to little girls!  I feel like a kid again every Christmas morning when the girls wake up to find Santa has been here. It is one of my favorite times of the year as a parent.
Abby was thrilled to get her purple bow and arrows.  Let me tell you, these girls can shoot!

Thankfully, Santa brought the Ariel and Sleeping Beauty tea sets Abby and Caroline asked for since summer.

 Emptying the Stocking

 Frozen Fun
Thank goodness PawPaw and his knife were here!  He was kept busy all morning opening toys.

I was excited Santa left something new for the bathtub.  Ariel and her sisters have provided lots of entertainment.

After everything was opened, the girls loaded up their trunks and took Elsa and Anna on a vacation in their jeeps.
