Pizza Party

We started Abby's birthday celebrations with a pizza party for the family.  The girls really got into the pizza theme and decided to dress in pizza colors.  We had fun making decorations all week and they were very excited while waiting for our guests to arrive.
These little human slices of pizza decided to compare muscles while waiting for the party to begin.

While waiting for the pizza to arrive, Abby opened some presents.

All of the gifts were a huge hit!  They were excited to get a new paint set and American girl writing set and journal.  Abby really enjoys writing these days.

Caroline had some presents also!
The American Girl dolls have a few new outfits and a winter coat.

We took a break for pizza and cake.  While eating, Caroline and Aunt Mary worked hard changing her doll into a new outfit.

Abby requested ice cream cake this year.

Caroline went shopping with Nonnie one day while I was subbing and picked out this ice cream pillow for Abby.  She was proud of her purchase and Abby loved it!
New Legos have been a fun new project and  . . . .
. . .  we finally own Sleeping Beauty!  It is one of our all time favorite movies!

The girls got purple dance outfits to match their dolls and Brent and I gave them doll beds.  I don't know who likes them more, the girls or me?

After presents, Abby and Caroline immediately changed and got busy on new projects.
Abby and Lin had fun playing with the Simon game.

Abby loves arts and crafts and worked hard on her new origami kit.
The next morning, she worked two solid hours on her Lego boat.  It was a special night celebrating our 6 year old!  I get choked up every time I put a cake in front of Abby and Caroline with another candle on it.  Another year has flown by and it was a great one!

Halloween

We had a blast Halloween night!  We went to a friend's house down the street for a pizza party and then trick or treated.  It was a big group of friends.

It took Abby a while to figure out how to fit in the wagon in her big costume.
Our friends borrowed a golf cart for little legs that got tired.  The kids took turns riding it.  Our houses are not very close together so this really helped the younger kids.
We borrowed the wagon from Nonnie and Pops and Abby and Caroline rode in it quite a bit.  I got rid of ours as we rarely used it, so we were glad they still had one for us to use.

Brent rigged Caroline's wings right before the sun went down.

The fire department came by and handed out glow necklaces and bracelets.

This man had a fire pit in his driveway.

There was a loud "Trick or Treat" when doors opened.

Abby and Caroline were very excited to have their turn on the golf cart.

We loved that you could see Tink's wings light up.

After filling up their jack-o-lanterns half way, Abby and Caroline requested to go home and hand out candy.  It was a nice way to end the evening!

Rapunzel

Abby was Rapunzel for Halloween and had a book parade at school Halloween morning.
It was a little chilly that morning.  Caroline came with us to see the parade before school.

Nonnie and Pops came to cheer for Rapunzel.

I think Abby had fun being in her first parade and it was a fun way to start our Halloween day!
