Once upon a time. . .

 . . .two little girls got a box of dress up clothes in the mail.  They dressed up in them morning, noon and night.

 Ruth sent Abby these dress up clothes for her birthday.  The girls have had a ball pretending to be a princess and a fairy.  Thanks for sending two of everything, Ruth! 

 The plastic high heels are Abby's absolute favorite.  She shuffles all around the house in them.

'Tis the Season

We are definitely enjoying this holiday season!  The girls are super excited about Santa.  Caroline will say Santa Claus very distinctly every time she sees him and Abby will recite her wish list for anyone who asks to hear it.  She wants a plush Daisy and Goofy and a big jeep so Caroline can ride with her.  She also wants her own shmop.  Brent and I have both enjoyed watching the girls fall in love with the magic of Santa.  They have brought back some of our fondest memories as kids. In the pic below, Abby is mailing our letter to Santa.

This past Wednesday, we went to the Children's Christmas festival at church.  We hit the train ride first before the line got long.

 Caroline is looking at a statue of Jesus in the middle of our church's new fountain.  She was pointing and saying "Jesus" in her sweet little voice.

 The church had a snow hill you could tube down.  We didn't attempt this.

 Abby did have some bounce house fun.

 Caroline is always interested in animal exhibits.  We didn't make it inside the petting zoo, as many of the animals were leaving to take part in the live nativity.

 Abby and Caroline didn't miss a thing.  They checked out everything, even the decorations, as we were leaving.

 Friday, Nonnie and I took a field trip to Frisco.  We went to the mall, and then helped Little Bubba decorate his tree.  We can't escape the mall without visiting our friends at the Disney store.

 We had every intention of getting a picture with Santa, but when we got to his village, an elf told me she was marking the end of the line.  I told her, "Oh good, we are looking for the end of the line."  She said, "No, Santa is leaving to feed his reindeer, this is the end of the line.  You should come on a week day when it is less crowded." I replied, "Oh, this is a weekday."  The elf informed me Friday is now the weekend. This was news to us.  Oh well! Catch you next week at Abby's school breakfast, Santa!

 The girls did get a peek at Santa and were ecstatic when he waved to them and shouted hello.

Thanksgiving Finale

The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to Spring for some fun with GiGi, PawPaw, Aunt Haley and Uncle Phil.  Friday, we had nice weather and enjoyed the playground.  It was cold and rainy the rest of our stay, so we were glad to have one day for the park.

Caroline can do a lot more now and usually tries to copy what her big sister is doing.  She was excited to ride the whale next to Abby.

Two Little Rascals

Little Caroline doesn't look so little now.  She wants to walk everywhere now and will hold hands.  It's sweet.

Abby thinks it is neat to watch her clothes in the front loader washing machine.

Aunt Haley played and played with the girls.  She is the only one who can take Abby to the restroom or help her with her dinner.  I enjoy every second of it!

I think the girls were just discovered in a game of hide and seek. Oh, the squeals and giggles!

After playing hard all day, the girls would enjoy a show on Daddy's i pad.  We had a relaxing weekend and I finished up some Christmas shopping without the girls in tow.  This was a treat!  I even had a hand available to carry around a Starbuck's drink while I shopped.

Thanksgiving: Bay City Style

The day before Thanksgiving, we pulled out of Trophy Club at the crack of dawn and headed for Momo's.  That afternoon, we played our own version of baseball in the backyard.  It involved plastic golf clubs and the girls running back and forth in a line.  They were pretty funny.

 Abby's special spot is with Momo on her bed. They play games and work puzzles.

 Momo has a sunken living room, which is a very popular attraction for this little toddler.  She will play on this one step for an hour.  Her legs have got to be tired after going up and down a million times.

 Pops, Abby and Caroline built a tent and enjoyed making up stories.  Abby saw a wolf in the backyard of the tent.  It was the culprit that made a hole in Pop's sock.  Like I said, she has quite an imagination.  She still talks about this wolf.

 Holly brought more goodies for the girls.  Thanks, Holly!

 Abby ate crescent rolls and mac and cheese for her Thanksgiving lunch.

Caroline slept through lunch, but joined us for dessert.

 Thanksgiving lunch ended just the way it should, with little girls crawling under the tables.
