Bay City Beach Babes

We started off the summer with a much needed trip to Bay City!  I hadn't been to Momo's since the fall and it is one of my favorite places, so  . . off we went!  Brent was fishing with PawPaw, so the girls and I rode with Nonnie, Pops, Little Bubba and Momo.  Caroline was under the weather for a few days, but she was a trooper.  All she wanted to do was go to the beach, so when her fever went away, she got her wish.

The seaweed was the worst we'd ever seen!  But, that did not stop us from building sand castles and jumping the waves.

We built a fortress for the My Little Ponies.

The second night, we played a game of T-ball in the yard.

The second day at the beach, we had some new things to do.  We brought a tea set.

Also, Little Bubba got the girls a pool.  The plan was for them to float around in the water.
But, that didn't go as planned.
Little Bubba thought he would give it a try himself.  But, that didn't work out either.
So . .  we brought it back up to the tent and filled it up with water.  This was a hit!
Our last surprise was a little sea creature Little Bubba caught in his bucket.

The girls got started on their summer reading logs with Momo.  I was so glad we went in spite of Caroline's rocky start!  We had a relaxing time.

Memorial Day and Momo's Birthday

We dressed in our red, white and blue for church to celebrate Memorial Day.
There is so much drama during photo taking these days.
Abby and Caroline can go from crying and whining one moment to silly faces the next.
After church, we had Momo's birthday lunch.
Putting Candles on Momo's Cake
 Licking the Candles
Smelling the Candle They Gave Her
We were so glad Momo was in town for our many celebrations!

After Party

All our family came back to the house for lasagna and present opening.
The girls set a new record.  They had all the presents opened in no time!

Little Bubba gave us a night at The Great Wolf Lodge.  Looking forward to going in late July!
Let the entertainment begin!  We are having fun with some new toys as summer kicks off!

Happy Birthday, Caroline!

After the recital, we went home for lunch and a quick nap and then we were off to Little Gym for Caroline's 3rd Birthday Bash!  She wanted a princess theme.
Checking Out Her Little Mermaid Cake
Lots of Fun in the Gym

Abby practiced her new gymnastics "tricks."

This was my favorite part of the party.  We sang "Happy Birthday" to Caroline while she sat in the middle of the parachute as it went round and round.

 The Party Train

 Making Her Wish

A Pinata wrapped up the party!  Bats are not allowed at The Little Gym, but we had fun pulling the strings.  It was the perfect party for this little princess!
