After Seabrook, we stayed at Momo's one night and then moved on to a condo at Matagorda Beach with Nonnie, Pops, Little Bubba and Momo.
Jumping the Waves
Abby and Caroline squealed with delight while digging in the wet sand. They got their giggle boxes turned over and could not quit laughing. The were yelling, "muddy, mud! muddy, mud!" while throwing wet sand everywhere.
Snacks and Sandcastles
Abby's habit of changing clothes all the time followed us to the beach. She switched into playclothes and sat in this chair for awhile watching the waves. Then . . .
. . . it was back to the swimsuit. I guess she decided this bucket of water would do instead of the ocean.
Walking on the Shore
The girls gathered seashells. They ended up with quite a collection.
The next day, we took a walk out on the long, long pier.
Then, the rain started and did not stop. The girls did some coloring, games, painting and read lots of books in the condo.
Abby is interested in workbooks with "activities."
The rain stopped for just a bit. It was long enough for Nonnie, Pops and Little Bubba to take the girls for one last playtime on the beach. The weather did not look like it was going to let up the rest of the day, so Brent and I decided to pack up and head back to Southlake. We drove through some of the worst storms we'd ever been through. It was a long trip back, but we made it! Although two of our stops were cut short, we enjoyed our get away.
