Museum School

In January, Abby started Museum School in Fort Worth.  She goes every Wednesday for two hours.  She has already learned so much and looks forward to it every week.  Next year Caroline gets to go, too! This week, Abby learned about raccoons.  A live raccoon was in the classroom and she was excited to report that it ate cantelope, blueberries, animal crackers and an egg while visiting.
A few weeks were spent studying space and I got to go on a field trip to the planetarium with Abby.  We put on our pretend spacesuits and blasted to the moon.  While we were on the moon, we found a moon rock.  Abby keeps it with her rock collection.  In this picture, she is showing her mini moon she made with clay and sand.
Last week, a live alligator came into the class.  Abby was proud to tell us she touched his leg and tail.  Here, she is pointing to where she hid her alligator's eggs.

While Abby is in class, Caroline, Nonnie and I go on different outings in Fort Worth and sometimes Nonnie stays home with her for some one on one playtime.
One week, Nonnie was out of town and Caroline and I had fun in the museum, which is next door to the school.

Although I tried my best to be Caroline's playmate, I am no substitute for her best friend, Abby.  We stayed after class for Abby to play in the museum with her.

We spend a lot of time in Barnes and Noble!
