Farewell to Summer

Last weekend, we headed to Matagorda for our last trip of the summer.  We stopped in College Station to update our Century Club info at the Alum Center and when we drove up, the War Hymn was blaring from this bus.  Turns out, the SEC network was kicking off that night and they were setting up for a yell practice.  It was too hot for us and it was lunch time, but the girls and Brent got to check out the bus and some exhibits inside.

The girls did some yells in front of a blue screen like the weather man.

Once we got settled in our condo, we headed to dinner with all of my extended family on the White side.   We ate at a new restaurant in Matagorda and it was awesome for kids! Wish it was here!
We played giant Jenga . . .
 . . . .and tossed bean bags.
Where did it go?
Caroline took some breaks to pose and curtsey.

After dinner, we built a fire on the beach and roasted s'mores.

We had a big crowd with all our family and some friends.

We went to the beach Friday and Saturday.

Caroline loved to wash Little Bubba's feet.

My Uncles and their families and friends had a house on the river.  We ate there both evenings.

The girls liked checking the crab traps.

One afternoon, we drove in to Bay City and spent a bit at Momo's house.  She had a memorial service to go to and the girls wanted to see her house.  Of course, Holly left them big bags of goodies.

They especially liked the new shades. It was great to have all the family together and a fun way to end our summer!
