June Snapshots

The week after our vacation, we jumped into summer activities with Vacation Bible School at our church.
The girls had so many friends attending and had a fabulous week.
Caroline was not in a picture taking mood in the pic below.
I volunteered in a craft room and got to take pics of the girls when they came through my station one day.

The last day of VBS was also the day of Caroline's birthday party.  That afternoon, we switched gears and got ready to party!
Carter arrived in Southlake and was ready for the festivities!
GiGi, PawPaw, Haley, Phil, Carter and Grayson stayed for the weekend.  The cousins had a good time together.

The girls put Uncle Phil to work on the new snow cone machine.

 Grayson had plenty of entertainment.

Abby played a good game of Rumikub with Daddy and PawPaw.  She even gave PawPaw some pointers.
Caroline had fun with GiGi setting up new toys.
Last week, Abby and Caroline had a dance camp.  Our drill team puts on a camp at the high school and this was their first time to attend.  As a former Eaglette, I am happy to report they loved it and wanted to go again the next week.

The last day, they were excited to get their pic with the girl who played Saige in the American Girl movie.  She is an Emerald Belle and also babysits.  We got her number!
We have also attended swim team practices daily this month.  This past Friday was Fun Friday and the ice cream truck came.

There are two meets left this year, but I don't know if we will participate.   I am happy they are getting so much good practice on their strokes while having fun with neighborhood friends.  Maybe next year we will compete!  For now, we are all about the fun!
This past Saturday, Nonnie, the girls, and I saw Cinderella at Bass Hall.

 Dumbo watched from Caroline's shoulder.
Sunday, Brent and I enjoyed brunch with the girls at church after the annual patriotic service.  It was a great way to celebrate this country we live in and honor those who have served in our military! We all especially enjoyed the music!

The girls had fun sitting next to our church mascot and giving him a pet after we ate!
