Wow! August and September flew by for us! I am behind on posting and the only reason I have time now is because I am stuck home with a bug. I would've been subbing this afternoon, but am on the road to recovery instead. I can't stand to sit around, so here come a lot of pics! When the girls arrived home from their stay in Spring, I had a surprise for them. They love their new art cart and craft table. It has been put to use daily.
Abby had fun organizing it.
August was filled with lots of swimming with Nonnie and Pops and at home.
Abby loved building float forts.
We found this friend ready to swim with us one day.
The girls also completed a four day Dragon Challenge at the Aquatic center. It was a good review of all the strokes they've learned.
We finished off our summer bucket list with lunch at CiCi's, . . .
. . . an ice cream outing, . . .
. . . back to school shopping, . . .. . . and quite a few birthday parties.
Chuck E. Cheese- Nonnie came along for this one and had a lunch date with Abby while Caroline enjoyed her friends.

Bounce House Party
The girls are participating in Dragon Youth Cheer this fall and had a clinic one Saturday in August.
Picking Up Our Cheer Buckets
We also enjoyed "Craftapalooza" at the library on one of our last summer days.Lunch at Café Express
Fun at Costco
The girls had one last morning art camp at The Art House. They painted their special animals they sleep with every night.
We were lucky to have Momo visit for about three weeks. We enjoyed lunches and outings with her and she enjoyed seeing the girls.
More Sweet and Sassy- Back to School Manicures
August ended with Meet the Teacher and a piano recital. Abby has Mrs. Whitfill, a friend from my old school. Nonnie taught with her for several years and we are thrilled Abby is in her class. When we arrived home from Meet the Teacher Abby said, "Mrs. Whitfill has the most beautiful smile." She is off to a great start in First Grade with a teacher who truly does light up the room.
Caroline also loves her teachers in TK. Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Dunn are no exception to the sweet teachers we have had at Chapel Hill. Caroline is enjoying being one of the "big kids" at school and is loving her challenging work and so proud of her homereaders and weekly book reports. She will be more than ready for Kindergarten next year!
We stopped by to give a hug to one of our 3's teachers.
GiGi and PawPaw came in town for Abby's first piano recital. The girls baked treats in their Easy Bake Oven and set up a tea party one afternoon.Mrs. Arquit is Abby's piano teacher. I can't say enough good things about her. She hosts three to four recitals throughout the year at retirement homes.
It was a very casual atmosphere, but Abby was a bit nervous.
I was so proud of her when she played her two songs and asked to perform one more.
Her teacher plays some with her. She especially loves the duets.
Summer was great and we were sad to see it end, but we are deep into our fall activities and loving every minute! Stay tuned for our fall happenings!
