May Snapshots and Summer Kick Off

I think we had something special at school or dance class almost everyday in May!  I had to stay on my toes this last month of school.  Caroline had a Language Arts curriculum called Super Kids.  She got to dress up for school one day like her favorite super kid, Golly the Dog.
She wanted to look exactly like Golly.  Nonnie hunted down a real blue dog collar and we made the spot on Golly's back out of felt.  She was so into this fun day, she went around posing like a dog before school.
As we walked in, she let me know I should have taken her to school on a leash.

She was excited to see her teachers dressed up.
Another day, the Southlake Firefighters made a visit to her school.

Caroline learned all about the solar system in April and May. I got to go up and help the class assemble their solar system murals.  They were so long, we had to spread out in a big empty room.
TK Graduation
This graduate is ready for kindergarten!  We are excited to forge ahead, but it was hard for me to say goodbye to Chapel Hill.  We were so lucky to go there for seven years!  The staff, students and parents were such a joy to be around. We all made some great friends there.

After the ceremony, the graduates were excited for cake and lemonade.
The last day of school, we had a special beach breakfast.
The girls enjoyed a few birthday parties for friends in May.

Abby's Field Trip to the Fort Worth Zoo

We lost power one day and Mrs. Arquit taught Abby's piano lesson by lantern light.

Ruth and Betsy came up from Austin one weekend.  These girls had a blast together.

We heated the pool and they had a big time.

Ruth surprised Kristin and Tollie by showing up at Kristin's crawfish boil.
Caroline had one of her best buddies from school at the boil.

Abby had a Fairytale Ball at school to show off her writing.

Caroline's school was over the day before and she was excited to go with Brent and me to the ball.

She also had a fairytale performance with singing, dancing and playing the xylophone.

Signing Yearbooks
She was excited to learn how to use a rainbow loom.
I think getting her hair spray painted was her favorite thing.
Her friend had a luau the weekend after school ended.  Although things have not slowed down around here, we have officially switched to summer mode!  Somewhere in between all of that swim team started and we had our dance recital. Stay tuned for more pics!
