Birthday Bash

Our Little Cupcake is not so little anymore. Abby turns two this Thursday. We had her birthday celebration at a place called Safari Park this past weekend. It was quite a bash! Before the party started, Abby found her present from Mommy and Daddy, a tricycle.
The place where we had the party had lots to do. Abby liked the little kitchens everywhere.

Checking out the train tables.

The party started with a little parade that ended at the train ride.

Boarding the Train

Choo! Choo!

Abby was scared of the animal rides. These animals walked around a little arena.
Watching the animals from a distance.
Caroline and Greyson hang out.
The Ball Pit, Abby's favorite

Make a Wish!

Abby was not interested in opening her presents at the party. There was too much to do! She did open the presents from her little friends.
Aunt Kristin and Mommy got to spend time together between events.
Thanks for your help, KB!

Caroline gets to ride with Daddy and Abby on the last ride.

At home, Abby plays with her trike.
The present opening lasted two more days. Here she is playing with her Little People Zoo from GiGi and PawPaw.

Abby got her first game from Grandmother. I am so excited we are entering the age for game playing.

She got a carriage from Nonnie and Pops. She needed a big one for all of her people.

She already named and loves her doll Momo gave her.

Zebies, Deer, and the Twain

Abby and I gave Brent zoo tickets for Father's Day and we finally had a free day to go. We had a blast! Here we are riding the train back to the entrance. Abby couldn't wait for this train ride. We heard "Zebies (zebras), deer and twain" all day Friday.Uncle Bubba went with us and was a big help when both of the girls ended up being carried most of the day. It was nice to have the two guys carry the kids. I got the easy job, pushing the stroller. I often think, why did we even bring the stroller. Our girls always want to be carried and of course their wish is our command. Then I remember, oh yes, we need it for our multitude of "stuff" we cart everywhere. Seriously, it was overflowing without the girls in it!

Waiting for the Train
Walking through the birds. I was surprised Abby didn't mind this.
The tigers were our favorite this time. They paraded right in front of us.
Checking out the jaguar and the elephants.

Abby was so cute crouching down at every exhibit.

This little jaguar was cuter than any real animal we saw.

"Ooh! Penguins!"

Beep, Beep!

Watch out on the roads! Abby has her very own car. The weather was so nice last weekend, GiGi and PawPaw thought it would be fun for Abby to start enjoying one of her birthday presents. She is a hoot trying to fit all her people in the car. Some of them have to ride in the little trunk.

They also took her down to the playground. She was well entertained while we were away.

"Cookies, Cookies, Cookies"

Cookies is a word I hear many times a day. Abby asks for them constantly. This weekend, Brent and I went to College Station for the A&M game while Abby and Caroline spent the day and night with GiGi and PawPaw in Spring. We had a nice break and Abby got to make Halloween cookies. What a treat! I know one day she will be a big helper in the kitchen. She is very interested in cooking.
