It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

We had fun this past Wednesday night at our first Christmas activity of the season, our church's Children's Christmas Festival. It was quite an event! They had bounce houses, game booths, a petting zoo, a live nativity, Babe's Chicken and Abby's favorite, the train ride.We were trying to get a close up of the girls, but didn't because. . . . . .when Abby saw we were holding her so close to Caroline, she squealed and pushed her away. What a stinker!!! As you can see, sweet Caroline is shocked by this turn of events.Abby would not pet the animals in the little petting zoo, but was interested in the llama. Looking at the sheep
Chowing Down on Babe's Chicken
Trying to pose in the little Christmas village in front of the church. Again, Abby was a stinker.

We stood in a long line for Abby to ride this little train. I think she thought it was worth the wait. This girl loves a good train ride. Choo! Choo!
Caroline patiently waits in the line.

Thanksgiving: Parts II and III

Thanksgiving Day we went to Uncle Tommy's house in Bullard to have Thanksgiving lunch with Nonnie's side of the family. We didn't need to bring our toys, Aunt Lynn had a toy chest. Abby loved this truck and with Bubba and Pops helping, found lots to do with it.First, they had fun rolling it down the loungers. Abby crosses her arms (in pic below) and does a big laugh now when something is funny. Then, they rolled it down the stairs. This smile is the result of the truck making a big crash into the wall below. What fun!If there is a pool and Abby is around, it must be cleaned. She loves scooping out the leaves and checking the filter.
It's her way or the highway. She must touch the pole!
These girls just don't get enough attention! When we are with family, they are used to having at least two people tending to them most of the time. It is a shock when we get home and they are stuck with just me until Daddy gets home.Caroline observes the turkey being carved. Yum!

Yes, Abby had lots to do! She also found Ashley's guitar,

After lunch, we headed to Spring for our third Thanksgiving get-together with Brent's family. We stayed there through the weekend. PawPaw took Abby and her people to the playground a few times.
Good Morning Sunshine! Yeah! I've got another girl that leaves on her hats and bows.
Rock-a-Bye Baby: Uncle Phil gets cuddle time with Caroline.
"You are funny, Aunt Haley."Caroline tried carrots for Thanksgiving. She wasn't sure what to think at first, but warmed up to them.

The lips say it all. What a pout!

A Lindale Thanksgiving

This past weekend, we had an early Thanksgiving with my Dad's family in East Texas. My aunt, uncle and Grandmother recently moved to Lindale, so it was fun to visit their new house.

Nonnie and Caroline
Abby and Garrett, my cousin Kara's little boy, played with the train set.
Abby has come such a long way with sharing her toys.
Movie Time with Pops

Caroline visits with Grandmother

Camden and Caroline have some playtime together. My cousin Melanie's little boy is just about one and a half months older than Caroline.Camden-"Hmm. I think I might move in on that toy."
Garrett plays peek-a-boo with Caroline. She loved it!
The Girls Hanging Out

Abby is checking on Pops.

Abby-"Enough with the turkey carving! Hold, pease!"Our visit ended with a ride on a dollie. This is the kind of entertainment only a granddad can think of.

The Cupcake

Abby had fun picking out what we were going to put on her birthday cupcakes for school. She picked out Mickey Mouse for the cupcakes and Minnie Mouse napkins. Her class celebrated after their Thanksgiving feast last week. She was so grown up taking them. My little two year old!In Deep Thought

Caroline's Corner

These are some things happening in Caroline's little corner of the world:She has started sucking her thumb some. Too cute!Caroline has a strong grip and has learned to hold a rattle. Shake it, shake it, shake it!

I am introducing her to the Zeta symbols. Tollie gave her this bath towel with a crown on top. Although it only has three points, it helped with my little lesson I gave to both girls about the Zeta crown.

Caroline loves her doorway jumper.
She likes to keep her arms inside the jumper most of the time.
She has a big grin on her face most of the time. If she doesn't, all it takes is a little hello and she is all smiles.
Some video of giggles and jumping
