The sun finally came out and we have been in summer mode since Caroline finished school two weeks ago. Summer around here looks like outings for ice cream, . .
. . .meeting friends at the bounce house place, . . .
. . . time for haircuts, . . .
. . . staying up a little later for a golf lesson, . . .
. . . more time to play with dolls, . . .
. . .and going on errands with Mommy. Caroline made friends with the concrete animals at Calloway's this day.
Summer also looks like new goggles, swim team, . . .
a new "gym" to explore (Caroline started a weekly visit to a physical therapist to help with walking flat), . . .
. . .special bikes to help teach balance, . . .
. . . and trips to the park before sleepovers.
Summer will mean lots of time to have friends over for tea parties.Caroline told her friends to "hold your heads up high because that's what princesses do."
"Cheers to summer!"
We knew it was really summer when we took Abby one last Sonic lunch as a kindergartner and . . .
. . . walked to the bus stop one last time this morning. This is our gang at the bus stop.
For the first time ever, I did not cry on this last day of school. I was ready to pick Abby up early (school was released at 10:30) and head out for our first summer lunch. We stopped on the way for some new summer headbands. It was another great school year and we are all excited for summer adventures!
