The week before last, Abby and Caroline had a blast in Spring with GiGi and PawPaw. They stayed a few days and then Brent and I came down for a welding show Brent needed to attend. The girls found welcome presents upon arrival.
The first night, they made sure all their animals had a comfortable place to sleep.
GiGi was great about sending me updates throughout each day. In the morning, I would get a pic of them dressed and ready to head out on an adventure. The first full day, they headed to the Houston aquarium.
They had a good time checking out the white tigers, eating in the restaurant, and . . .
. . .riding the train through a shark tunnel.
They also enjoyed cooling off in the sprinklers and riding the carousel.
That wasn't all they did the first day! The girls made a list a couple of months ago of what they wanted to do while in Spring. They were on a mission to check every item off so they headed to the mall and did some shopping at the Disney store and went on another spin around that carousel.
The second day, I got this snapshot as they got ready to go to the Children's Museum downtown.
This excursion was such a hit, they stayed most of the day.
Abby and Caroline did so much they had to stop and rest with PawPaw.
One of their favorite things was the Kidtropolis city for kids. They got some money out of the ATM and went to work at the pet hospital.
Next, they stopped off at the market.
I guess PawPaw did some shopping too.
Evidently, Caroline had a second job as a paramedic.
They also stayed busy at home with games and cookie decorating.
Wednesday, Brent and I were there and the rest of the gang arrived! We were all excited to see the VanCleaves.
Caroline and Abby took on the challenge of helping Carter with his shoes.
We were off to Chuck E. Cheese for more fun!
We arrived to find Chuck E. Cheese himself throwing out tickets. This was very exciting for the girls as they had been saving tickets for a year.
Uncle Phil and Abby played a game of air hockey.
These three worked up a big appetite.
After that outing, we were off to the pool.
The pool maintenance man gave the kids a science lesson and let them help test the water.
We cheered Carter on when he tried our goggles and then we headed to the house for sprinkler action. That's right! No down time for this crew.
The kids were hysterical to watch because Carter thought it was fun to turn the water on and off.
The girls enjoyed taking pics with Grayson and building with Carter's birthday Legos. It was a super way to end July and start our last few weeks of summer!
