Happy Birthday, Abby!

We can't believe Abby is 7!  The birthday girl wanted to be a car rider on her big day.  We all took her in the truck.
Brent and I took her lunch from Sonic.
I took slushies from Rita's in the afternoon for her classroom celebration.  Mrs. Whitfill has a sweet tradition she does on each child's birthday.  She talked to the class about how they were celebrating Abby's life and then the classmates shared things about Abby that made her special to them.

It was a beautiful day and we got to enjoy the treats outside.

The previous weekend was supposed to be her birthday party at Emler swim, but she had strep and a virus the previous week so we decided to postpone.  Although she was not fully recovered, she felt much better by Saturday evening.  Nonnie and Pops took us for CiCi's and had cheesecake and family presents at their house.  This cheered her up.
They were excited to get a miniature tree for the American dolls.

Abby loved her beanie Caroline got her and the classic Lego set from Little Bubba.
Aunt Mary helped with a new jewelry kit.

 New Hats
I was glad she got Cinderella!

Abby loves clothes for herself and for her doll!
Little Bubba has a new dog, Callie.  She was interested in the excitement.

Air Hockey Surprise from Nonnie and Pops

The next weekend was finally her party weekend!  GiGi and PawPaw came in town and Abby enjoyed opening her long awaited Flipsie sets.

Abby is also into fringe.

We had pumpkin cake this time around.
PawPaw had to help with the aquabeads.
Finally, it was time for the big swim party!

The slide was one of their favorite things!

They had a war with the lifeguard.  She was a good sport getting pounded by these balls.

We sang "Splashy Birthday" to Abby.

They were hungry for pizza and ice cream cake after all that swimming. It was a fun string of celebrations!
