Spring Break: Southlake Style

After our trip to San Antonio, we were ready for some Spring break fun in Southlake.  Our week was full of activities at home and around town.  We dyed our Easter eggs.

The girls tested out our water limbo set we got for Caroline's birthday luau coming up in June.  They gave it an A+.
We enjoyed a Chicken Express picnic at our city park.

The girls ran into a dance friend on the playground.

It was such a hot day!  We had to get cold treats at Rita's afterward to cool down.
The library hosted an art activity one day.

We also did some spring shopping around the square.  Justice had a station where the girls wrote notes to children in the hospital.

We couldn't escape the square without ice cream.

The girls thought they were so sneaky hiding in this clothing rack at Old Navy.

St. Patrick's Day was very busy! First, we hit the indoor church playground.
We followed that up with a trip to the square to see Zootopia with a friend.
Abby and Caroline remembered we needed to bake and deliver our annual St. Patrick's Day cupcakes to the neighbors.

I think we enjoyed cold treats at every place in Southlake that week.  We went to Central Market one day and then enjoyed a trip to Skate Town.

The girls had fun one evening on a daddy daughter dinner date and reading and watching a movie in their big tent.
We also went to an Egg Hunt at a church in Colleyville. We were disappointed our church and neighborhood did not have their annual hunts this year, but this one was exciting and different as it had an egg drop from a helicopter.

Abby and Caroline played a few games and went down a bounce house slide before the helicopter finale.

There was also a regular hunt.  It was really crowded!

The girls were excited to find coins in the eggs.

We wrapped up Spring Break with a special service and delicious brunch at church on Palm Sunday.  That afternoon, Nonnie and Pops took us to their neighborhood egg hunt. We loved every minute of the break and now we are counting down to summer!
