It's a Wrap!

Last Thursday was Nonnie's last day to teach. Woohoo!!! Momo and I brought lunch to the school and clapped her out of the building. Every year, on the last day of school, all the students line the halls and parents wait at the exit and clap out the graduating fourth graders and the teachers retiring as they leave the building for the last time. They call it the "clap out." It was an emotional event, but Nonnie held up really well. She is thrilled to be free from work. She deserves some serious vacation and relaxation after 27 years of teaching!
Waiting for the clap out. Posing with one of her favorite kids.
Two of Nonnie's former students dropped by her classroom. They are juniors now.

Nonnie's room was almost empty. This globe was the only thing left for the girls to play with and Caroline had a ball rolling it around.

It was crowded, but I got a little clip of Nonnie walking out.
