Memorial Day Weekend

We kicked off summer with a busy and fun Memorial Day weekend. Saturday my pledgesister, Kristin, had her annual crawfish boil. Caroline stayed with Nonnie and Pops so we could enjoy the festivites while keeping up with just one kid. Thomas has a big swingset, which was a new adventure for Abby. She had a ball on it and learned to swing on the big kid swings. It was a warm day and Abby's face got as red as her shirt. We tried to get her to look at the crawfish, but she wasn't a fan. She hightailed it back to the swingset.Thomas and AbbyAbby enjoyed all the kids there. She has missed her friends at school.Saturday evening, we were on to Momo's celebration. Pops did a coozie puppet show for the girls.

The girls always take to Ashley right away. Abby is running from Tank in this picture.

Hammock Fun-Abby thought it was hilarious when Pops fell out.

Caroline's first dip in the pool was a bit traumatic. After a few minutes, she was fine.

Getting used to it now.

Nonnie and Caroline heading for the pool.

Abby pretended she was a tugboat pulling this float around.

She was so happy to be swimming again. Swim lessons start next week and I think we will have a much better outcome this time around.

We had a cookout with all of our neighbors in the front yard on Memorial Day. This is our neighbor, Brenda, visiting with Abby.

Brent and I became kind of in charge of it when everyone decided the best spot for the event would be under our shady trees. He rolled his grill around to the front and was on grill duty.

Not happy about her dirty hands. "I need a napkin, please, Mommy."She made many trips to the food table for chips.Momo's friend, Bonnie, and her daughter, Holly, sent the girls these darling dresses. They are perfect for our summer holidays. Thanks, ladies!Wagon Ride-We have used our wagon so much!!! It has been one of our best purchases.Caroline ate her picnic lunch sitting in the wagon. We wrapped up the weekend with a brisket dinner, watermelon and another swim. We are excited for summer!
